I know that in America and maybe other places, schools play a big part in the social lives..there are sports games and big dances.
In France, are there activities relating to the school that teenagers do? Or is it more like..school is just school and the teenagers do things outside of school for fun (if so, any specifics?).
Thank you!How does highschool play into the social lives of FRENCH teenagers?
Where on the map is such a France??

Is it likely for teenagers to get breast cancer ?
I've been reading up on this subject, and in most cases it explains about lumps on the outer sides of your breasts nearer the armpit, but the lump i've found recently was under the outer nipple. I'm really scared that it's breast cancer, although i'm aware it's more likely to be a cyst. Is it more likely to be breast cancer because its under the nipple ?Is it likely for teenagers to get breast cancer ?
No, it is extremely unlikely. Your chances of having breast cancer are almost zero. It is extremely rare for a teenager to have breast cancer - it's a disease largely associated with ageing, and 80% of people diagnosed with it are over 50.
Even in adult women, most breast lumps are not cancerous
It is likely to be hormonal, or it may be a cyst. But it's very, very unlikely to be cancer.
See your doctor and put your mind at rest.Is it likely for teenagers to get breast cancer ?
it is unlikely that you have breast cancer. get it checked out if your really worried, but i wouldnt worry too much.
i do the same thing to myself, i notice some minor thing
and have these thoughts running thru my mind..could it be this? could it be that?
ask a doctor, but its not likely you have cancer
it's highly unlikely in women under 40. your at a higher risk if its in your family. like the fist person says the pill can increase your chances but not by much at all. most women usually find lumps the size of a golf ball, that might put your mind at ease. but if your worried about anything like that just go to your doctor. don't worry about it though the stress of worry can make you over think a situation.
Unlikely. What you can do: avoid too small Bra's, avoid breast piercing, avoid the ';Pill';. Do exercise containing movement of your arms.

What are some fun things to do at night for teenagers?
Besides partying, and nothing illegal.
And something cheap- movies are out, bowling is out...
eh.
see my problem? lol
i thought about sleepovers, but you can only have so many of those before they become a bore.
we can all drive, and most of us have jobs.
anything fun and cheap to do during the day would be good, too. =]
oh and i put this under ';entertainment and music'; because i wasnt sure how it would categorize. What are some fun things to do at night for teenagers?

Putt putt golf, sewing/designing your own clothes, clothing swaps/fashion show with your friends, thrift shopping, bike riding, make homemade ice cream, rent bad movies, go to all ages music shows, fly kites in the park, go to a public pool, visit the dogs and cats at the animal shelter, work on halloween costumes, learn instruments and start a garage band, etc.
I second the ghost hunting idea someone had. And there's always gravestone rubbings (with paper and crayons).
drive ins they are cheaper than regular moveis and you get to watch to of them...
if you live by teh ocean or a lake.. the beach and swimming and what not.. night swmming is fun...
video game parties.....
ghost hunting.. ( look up haunted places in your town.... every town has them... and go ghost hunting....
Walking places is cool... you'd be surprised at the different places you end up. Also, try searching online for fairs near your hometown. Since it's autumn, there are a lot of cool craft fairs and festivals that are usually held around the country. You can drive to one and look around... you might have to pay to get in, but for some, you don't.
Do you live near a mountain by any chance? Take a road trip and go for a hike. :)
Watch tv, dvds, play board games, watch youtube videos!!
Read a book, do homework with your friends if you want, and talk about stuff

The mall is always a good choice, you don't necessarily even have to pay any money while you are there. The beach is always a fun place to go. It all depends on the weather, but you can even go there at night too.
When I was in high school, my friends and I would get together and play cards for HOURS! It may sound boring, but it was a blast. Also, we would get together and go play bingo with the senior citizens. Again, sounds boring but was a lot of fun...even when we were sober!
How about homework? Practicing a musical instrument? Reading books?
ride around bumping lil wayne smoking california cronic sippin on sizzuRp with two black people from across the street.
go to like football games, um like haunted houses, concerts, shopping stuff like that
you could always go to a themepark, cinema or every one over to wathch a film get some microwaveable pop corn
Talk real loud, poke fun at people and skinny dip..lol

What are good places to go in melbourne, Australia for teenagers?
Ok, so i have Sydney family friends coming down. and the weather might be bad tomorrow so what could we go and see?
ages 13-16 [plus parents]What are good places to go in melbourne, Australia for teenagers?
I love the Melbourne Aquarium! You could take them to DFO or Harbour Town, or if the weather is nice you could take them out to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. What are good places to go in melbourne, Australia for teenagers?
Spend a moment checking out ';Volume'; (see link), but otherwise be prepared to go to indoor venues if concerned about the weather.
I think the worse weather may come more from Wednesday on, but with Melbourne who really knows!
Take them to the city! Go to China town, Little ittaly, the main street, the parks or why not even see a show!

Why do parents encourage Teenagers to believe in Santa Claus?
Why do parents encourage teenagers who now know that santa isn't real, to still belive in him despite the fact that they themselves know that santa isn't real? Why do parents encourage Teenagers to believe in Santa Claus?
From the moment I found out, my mother encouraged me to ';play along'; for the sake of Christmas spirit. She never forced me to believe in a falsehood, per say, but encouraged me to find the magic in it. She explained it in this way when I was younger, and it was nice to keep the spirit alive...she told me the story of the real St. Nicholas and how he would go around in his little town and fill the childrens' shoes with goodies every year in celebration of the occasion. When he passed away, the parents of the town carried on the tradition in honor of the kindness and good hearted spirit that he was. It's nice for a teenager to be able to grasp and hold onto a tradition based on unselfishness and goodness. That's how I always saw it anyhow. Why do parents encourage Teenagers to believe in Santa Claus?
I think it is probably a few reasons. Maybe they dont wont them to spoil it for little children because my family has friends who are just like my litle babies the oldest is only two years younger than me and still believes but they love christmas and i think that it helps because if they just say santa isnt real there is no dought in my mind that they would tell someone. also they probably want kids to behave better.
'if you're good you get presents' - keeps the kids quiet.
same as:
'if you're good you get to go to heaven'. keeps the adults quiet.
same control mechanism just a different age range. same level of gullibility (a little more shameful for the adults, because... well, they're adults and should know better).
I'm a teenager and I still ';believe'; in Santa even though I know it's my mom putting the Wii under the tree because it makes me feel childish. Not the immature childish, but the ';haha I'm not a grown up yet and I don't have responsibilities'; childish. It makes me feel good!
My mom used to used Santa to make us believe that we need to be behaved and good to get what we want for Xmas and it seems effective... besides we got what we want for Xmas then.. And I think I'll do the same with my Kids but of course if they get older and ask if its true then I'll just tell them
Tradition and keep christmas in your heart not just your pocketbook. commerciallism of christmas seems so real! that Belief keeps it FUN! Christmas is spiritual but tradition makes it FUN! it's easier to share FUN! isn't it... I'm 50 years old and still believe in Santa Claus don't you a devine person brings things of Happiness more sadness! doesn't make heart all warm inside if you share with others JOY! and Warm feelings!
Remember some us don't have great days everyday there is just one day everyone can share! Christmas!
becuase when they were younger their parents thought to believe in Santa Claus and so they tell the same to their children
ahaha I've never heard of any parent encouraging their TEENS to believe in santa claus, thats just insanity!
I think they do it so the child will behave :/
So they don't ruin it for younger siblings?
To keep it fun. My eight year old has doubts but I told him to act like he beleives so that it would be more fun.

Why do you think teenagers start smoking and drinking alcohol as a small age? what is the reasons behind it?
What is there to be poved? that they became adults and responsible? or is it the bad influence advertsisment and irresponsible older adults have on them? Why do you think teenagers start smoking and drinking alcohol as a small age? what is the reasons behind it?
I'm in my late teens and I don't do drugs
or drink, or smoke. I think it's the media
that is driving a great deal of teens up the wall.
It doesn't mean you can't have fun it just means
you shouldn't lose yourself. I think the environment
when I was in my earlier teens (12-15) is different
from today, It's very very wild out there it's shocking
to hear 12 yearolds talking about being pregnant! Why do you think teenagers start smoking and drinking alcohol as a small age? what is the reasons behind it?
Guess, They are aping us older folks, who are about as dumb
So they can look Cool in front of their friends. They don't look cool to me, they look ';Stupid';.
We have a personal ego and a social ego, or better to say, we gain pride from our actions, and then from the actions of others based on our actions. Yea a bit long winded but it shows how much were social creatures. This is both a reflect of independence, human curiousity, and the need to impress our peers, compounded by the social environment only giving us these as outlets for this. It is the same path our parents took thou, which is the important thing to understand, that all functioning adults go thru this phase of muturation. It could almost be seen as a sign of faster growth the earlier this occurs. Its an important phase to where alot of different issues we well deal with for the rest of our lives come to head. Problems only occur if we don't have parents that are welling to talk to us about it, relate their experiences, and show other paths of belonging.
Its because its illegal it isnt as fun when its legal.
Well, personally, it was the curiosity. I tried--and I didn't like it. It's as simple as that. Everyone, for the most part, is going to try--whether it's due to peer pressure, boredom, or just curiosity. Why people continue? That's a different question. Unfortunately, I have no answer...because, you don't have to keep doing it...and there is no reason to.
Most people recall their 1st drink being given to them by an adult or of them taking a drink from their parent's glass when the parent wasn't looking when they were very small...like 4-5y.o.
At that time they want to be like their parents. They may steal drinks from their parent's stock of alcohol as they grow older.
As they get older, there is peer pressure to drink %26amp; also the attraction of the forbidden.
In families that use alcohol in religious rituals as children are growing up, the children are less likely to drink to excess when they get older.
Rebellion. I think that once kids get to a certain age they want to prove that they can make their own decisions (bad or not). I think it also has something to do with taboos. They want to prove to themselves that they can do something they have been told not to do.
I was a teenager once too, but then I grew up and realized when my mother told me I didn't know anything yet she was right.
Children with many activities seem to be the ones who don't have time for all that stuff. The ones who just go to school and come home after it is done and their parents are at work, when they get home, have idle minds. And an idle mind is the worst state to be in because you are bored and you find things that will get you into trouble because it gets you attention. It may not be the attention you want to get but it is still attention. Parents need to talk to their children at a small age and drill it into their heads what they expect from their children, to include how to recognize the bad from the good. Roll play and get them experienced to say no to the bad and yes to the good. You went through peer pressure and theirs is always greater but if you prepare them they will have no problem making the right decision because they know what you would rather have them do.
It's called peer pressure...
that's about it.... it may be indirect pressure... but there is always a desire to fit in with a group...
and lets face it.. getting drunk and stoned is way more fun than playing basketball...
that`s a situation when a child feels like to be burden like somwaht or get influenced by a popular smoker, alchoholic person.
that may be bcoz of the neglegence of the family , nervousness , or due to unsureness(modest).
that may be also bcoz of lack of patience.
this comes under child deliquency or juvinille deliquency.
right now in india there are 92 deliquent home.
they r really very helpfull to such children and help them to get into right path.
i think its the older adults.. also TV .. yea TV is the main reason i think... keep your children away from it!! lol
Curious. We can never drink beer so we want to know what it tastes like and what it does. Same with other stuff.
They probably want to act older. They don't realize that harm can be done from their actions.
Some parents allow their kids to drink when young. So they are setting a bad example. I'm sure advertising has a lot to do with it.
peer pressure and boredom stress in their life and plain just playing follow the leader.
all of the above.........peer pressure, bad influences, etc.

Who is a poet that today's youth would identify with? What poetry work would really resonate with teenagers?
I'm trying to put together a project that requires poetry or any written word that would mean something to today's youth. I plan on writing music to that poetry and using it with a performing group of high school students. I would also be interested in a writer's story or background that would mean something or be interesting to high school students even if his/her written work did not. The important thing is that I want the performers to feel connected to the words in the hopes of creating a meaningful experience that resonates with them.Who is a poet that today's youth would identify with? What poetry work would really resonate with teenagers?
love, emo, reality, the hard life or the rough cut in plain language.
Try the Vietnam or WWI poets. Show them Dorothy Parker, Langston Hughes, Judith Johnson's Uranium poems, Sonia Sanchez, James Wright, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, James Baldwin, and Imamu Amiri Baraka.
Give them Sarah Teasdale for honesty and rhyme!Who is a poet that today's youth would identify with? What poetry work would really resonate with teenagers?
Modern poets like Benjamin Zephania would be popular. Another would be Paul Cookson, writes a lot of humour but also some more serious issues.
I think todays musicians are the equivalent of the old poet - travelling the countryside performing for people. Let's face it, they are the words that your high schoolers are listening too and some of them are brilliant. I always wish a teacher had given me the opportunity to write about my favourite lyrics (alright they would have been Metallica but I was so passionate). These were the only 'poems' I could get into but I really do believe you could reach a HUGE audience if you let them talk about the writings they want to talk about. They could even perform them, perhaps stressing the points most important to them and changing the song so it reflects how they personally feel about the lyrics. How many death metal teenagers can you reach with Donne and Wordsworth? I'm positive you can reach them if you go on their level and ask them to provide some 'poetry' for discussion.
I love literature but nothing moves me like the words to my favourite song.
1. Suicidal and dramatic poetry.
2. Poetry where an old and corrupt villain is defeated.
3. Poems where urban legends and supertisions come true.
4. Poetry where the character flirts with homosexuality.
Some works of the Romantic poets, particularly Coleridge, with his tragic drug history, and perhaps Byron and Shelley -- Byron for his darkness and Shelley for his connection with the creation of one of the greatest monsters of all horror history, Frankenstein's monster.
Philip Larkin (died mid 80's) - wrote some seriously depressing stuff about proper ordinary stuff like family, loneliness - famously wrote ';they f**k you up your mum and dad'; - seems to resonate with teenagers!
Charles Bukowski, because of his irreverence and powerful language. I think his topics (alcohol, love, life, discontent) would be very interesting to your students. My brother loves these poems since he was 17, for their directness.
The most important topic to young people is love. For example, many of my friends say their favorite book is the novel ';Love in the Time of Cholera'; by Gabriel Garc铆a M谩rquez. I highly recommend you the short story ';Eyes of a Blue Dog'; by the same writer:
http://eserver.org/fiction/eyes-of-a-blu鈥?/a>
But I think any good love poem will do.
Hope it helps! =)
Oh, do the Beat Poets!! They were so ';cool.'; And they are still relevant to today's teenagers because the Beat poets were unorthodox, rebellious, yet, literary.
Allen Ginsberg, Robert Creeley, Anne Waldman, John Wieners... they were hugely popular with young people in the 50s and 60s!! They were still popular even as they aged.
The Beat poets, had BEATS to their poetry -- rhythm -- like musical sounding words. When they recited their poetry, you could literally FEEL the beat! Sound words were part of the poetry, and as it was read outloud, you could feel the essence of that sound, feel the ';beat!'; There was music involved -- drumming, chimes, all kinds of rhythms that sang with the poetry.
Their poetry was wild, effusive, loud, soft, lyrical, coarse, yet with a passion and verve and ';beat!'; Allen Ginsberg was one of the most famous -- when you heard him recite poetry, you felt it to your soul. It was rhythm, it was passion, it was wild and sometimes obscene, but it was still poetry. And the Beat poets, I feel, exemplify teenagers. Teens are searching for themselves, they are still paving their way, they are lurching about and not sure, and yet sure, and they are poetry in motion.
Beat poetry is performance! It is song! It is rhythm! It is lyrical and literary words. And the kids can even have a coffee house setting with candles and coffee, and bongos, and berets. They would be able to act out and perform the very poems they are reciting.
And, yes, I have heard the now-gone Beat poets recite their poetry, and I also have a 16-year-old daughter who became enamored with Beat poetry when she had to study it in her Sophomore year in high school -- I see it from both sides.
I don't think you can beat the Beat poetry! :)
love, emo, reality, the hard life or the rough cut in plain language.

Teenagers sleep a lot. It's good for you. It helps you grow, which you should be doing a lot of. Just make sure that you aren't getting too much sleep, and that it's not affecting your schoolwork or social life. If it is, it could be a sign of depression and your unwillingness or inability to deal with the world around you.
Teenagers do sleep more but if you are sleeping a lot you should see someone. If you are depressed you can sleep more. Check out your sleep pattern and make sure you are getting to bed early enough. Sleep is for nighttime. The rule is the more you sleep the tireder you are. Get a good bedtime and get up time.
No, it's not wrong.
Teenagers have less time to sleep but need it more because you guys are still growing, and fast.
It's normal and if you get the chance to sleep, sleep!
yes very, i feel very energized from only 6 hours of sleep :)
We are supposed to get plenty of sleep.
teenagers are supposed to sleep a lot. it is good for you.
could you be narcoleptic? just a thought..

How does highschool play into the social lives of FRENCH teenagers?
I know that in America and maybe other places, schools play a big part in the social lives..there are sports games and big dances.
In France, are there activities relating to the school that teenagers do? Or is it more like..school is just school and the teenagers do things outside of school for fun (if so, any specifics?).
Thank you!How does highschool play into the social lives of FRENCH teenagers?
Where on the map is such a France??face mask

What are the effects of too much technology dependence on teenagers?
Personally, I'm going to say, judging by the questions being asked (for the most part) on this site, teens are not thinking much. Everything they don't know gets entered in google, they click the wikipedia link, read a line or two, then take their question here (if they even do the initial search) in hopes someone will take all work out of it and just answer it. The amount of questions copied off homework or that could be easily researched astounds me.
Another aspect is that technology can enable connections with other people all over that wouldn't have been possible a decade or 2 ago, but I think the negative part of that is that they are not physical relationships (mostly) and because of that they're not as strong of social bonds being created. A myspace profile may have hundreds of friends, but what good is that to most people? To meet with friends for lunch and to be able to see their body language and establish that type of connection is lost in an instant message. Hell, it's hard to understand the spelling, much less the intent/intonation of ';txt sp3ak'; (and spelling skills are so far gone...'you' is too long. it's ';u'; now. Seriously?)
Those are negative effects. I'm feeling rather salty today. What are the effects of too much technology dependence on teenagers?
Stress. If for some reason a technology was for some reason ';out of order';, then the teen basically freaks out. My teen's phone broke and she didn't know what to do. She lost all of her phone numbers. Try and get them to do complicated math without a calculator. I don't think some teens would know what to do if there wasn't cell phones, iPods, computers, cable tv and video games. I grew up in the 70's when there wasn't any of those things. A funny thing is when my daughter was about 10 years old I showed her an old rotary phone and she couldn't figure out how it worked. I thought that was funny. But sadWhat are the effects of too much technology dependence on teenagers?
Most teenagers but not all teenagers are spending way to much time on social networks like facebook and myspace. Oh heck Im in my 40's and very guilty of spending hours on myspace too. Well that's just 1 example in my opinion. Great question by the way!
How much is too much? Is depending entirely on technology really a problem. It's the way of the future and it seems to be fine.
the effects are they get fat at worst. They usualy grow out of it but i never did and im fine.
when the apocalypse strikes, they are first to go. or in their case, a majjor blackout.

What is a new christmas tradition i can start with two teenagers?
Have them pick a charity around Thanksgiving and choose what they want to do for it. A food drive just collecting around the neighborhood or depending on their gender working for a girls club / boys club helping out...something like that goes farther than just gifts. Let them choose a gift to give someone in their neighborhood less fortunate...I think they will really enjoy doing something for someone else. What is a new christmas tradition i can start with two teenagers?

Why don't you all help out with Santa's Annonymous delivering toys. It would be a good experience for them as it teaches them to look outside themselves and help others. Or have them buy a gift for SA with their own money. The gift of giving.
how about having them create an ornament or decoration that represents ';who'; and ';what'; they are all about that year - and date the bottom.
hahaha, festivus for the rest of us.... That was an episode of Seinfeld.
Seriously, how about ice cream sundays for breakfast on Christmas morning or on Christmas Eve.

Is there a poem for a single dad raising two teenagers?
My best friend is in doubt that he is doing a good job raising his two teenage children on his own. Their mother has not been in their lives for years, and sometimes he feels as if he's too hard on them when he has to punish them.Is there a poem for a single dad raising two teenagers?
I don't have a poem but how about a few words from a new father?
Its dads like you that give the rest of us hope and guidance. Stay strong I know its not easy but if you don't do it then who will?
My son is spoiled by his family and I'm the only one who sees that you can not bring him up without rules and boundary's. I try to stand strong and firm and try to raise him to become a good man, not a spoiled one. Its not easy when the family thinks your controlling and too stern.
I need to see you be strong or I might question my being a father.
Hang in there we are all in this together.

You don't need to lose weight. That is a great weight many girls strive for.
But there is no quick fix, I'm sorry, and if there is, it is very unhealthy and dangerous.
Just eat health meals, (5 to 6 a day, follow the food pyramid!), and get in exercise at least 60 minutes every day.
It is simple repeating.
Happy holidays, and don't let the pressures of life try to shape you. (:
And P.S., don't listen to these other stupid ads, they don't work.
omg if you think you fat then i must be huge to you cause im in eight grade and im 125...i dont think you need to loose any wieght at all. it all depends on you hieght cuz im 5'6 so i've been told that i dont look 125 but who knows.....just excercise i guess. dont do anything crazy like stop eating or something like that. but i think that if you needed to loose any wieght that your doctor would have told you im my opinion ur underwieght....

Do you think more teenagers get abortions than older women?
I was just wondering is this a true fact and if you believe it is the case ahy do you think they do?Do you think more teenagers get abortions than older women?
I would think that older women would be more of the ones to get the abortions done then teenagers. Only because teenagers, they live with their parents and i believe that most parents are against abortion. As for adults, if they are single and want to keep living the lifestyle that they are, then if pregnant i'm pretty sure they'll most likely want to get an abortion.
that's just what i thinkDo you think more teenagers get abortions than older women?
52% of women obtaining abortions in the U.S. are younger than 25: Women aged 20-24 obtain 32% of all abortions; Teenagers obtain 20% and girls under 15 account for 1.2%.
so... no.
Fact: Each year, one million American teenagers become pregnant, and 78% of these pregnancies are unintended.
this is a fact!!!!! so yes more teenagers get abortions than older women
yes because they don't want to take their damn responsibility for their own mistakes and they want to murder because of it. :
|Well yes most teen pregnancy is unplanned and think of all the stigma that comes from being a teen parent

Just asking, are the majority of the yahoo answers community teenagers?
I think it depends a lot on what time of the day you are online. I tend to look for questions to answer during the day (school hours) to avoid the plethora of silly questions. Of course that's not to say there aren't plenty of adults on here who are just as silly and have nothing better to do than to waste their time asking ridiculous things. Try looking under specific topics that interest you, rather than just going through the general questions on the home page. Peace.Just asking, are the majority of the yahoo answers community teenagers?

Are there any good hair removal creams especially made for teenagers??
I don't like to wax as it leaves red spots. Shaving can sometimes hurts and grows back quick. Is there any good hair removal creams especially made for teenagers between the age of 13-18? And how long does it take before the hair starts growing agaain? Are there any good hair removal creams especially made for teenagers??
When I was a teen I used Neet... I didn't like it and often had rashes from it... the chemicals in hair removal creams are VERY strong... and the results can last anywhere from a couple days to 2 weeks. (never more than a couple days for me).
Have you tried sugaring? It's like wax only it is more gentle and washes right off with water. And the results are longer lasting and the hair comes back finer and more sparse with each use.
If you have a problem with red spots... try exfoliating daily with a body scrub or even just a loofa. Are there any good hair removal creams especially made for teenagers??
Actually, back when I was a teen it was called Neet... lol Not sure if it's the same product... but that was about 17 years ago when I was 13!!! ACK! (now I feel old)
i find that veet products work well. Nair doesnt really work, atleast the cold wax strips dont..
There is a spray that you can get that's like the cream, but it's much easier to use, you don't have to touch it, so your hands won't smell. I forget what it is called, but they have bright colored cans that they come in. Usually, if I use a hair remover instead of shaving, it lasts about 5-7 days.
*edit: Found it, It's by nair, I included a link.
well if you have sensitive skin be really careful with the chemical hair removal stuff. i have very sensitive skin and i used nair when i was ur age and i got a huge chemical burn. it said you were supposed to smear it on but not rub it in or something like that well i kinda *accidentally* rubbed it on my fingers after i smeared it on and i got the worst chemical burn on my fingers and on the back of my legs. in my opinion don't do it! it isn't worth the chemical burns and believe me they are really painful.
Most lines of hair removal sell a sensitive skin formula, try that first.

I question for all teenagers and young adults?
I is the in thing now, what is the cool things now? How do you get noticed by people now a days, but not in a way where you are being fake and being something you are not? How do you get people like you for you? What clothes are in style, are tight jeans that are tight from your waist all the way to your ankles? What shoes and music? Basically what in cool now?I question for all teenagers and young adults?
The cool thing to do is to just express yourself.
Wear clothes that make you stand out the crowd, it doesn't have to be IN the latest style,
but just remix something into your own creation.
The whole scene look is being remixed into a retro-type look now.
If you want to go with the crowd then go for a look like that
If you want to stand out the crowd, just go for something of your own.
The music part is easy, just listen to the radio.
Whatever's good is good.
To get people to like you is just mainly relied on self-confidence.
Once you have enough confidence to be yourself and let yourself show then people will like you for you.
By doing that you won't ever be considered fake..I question for all teenagers and young adults?
Why don't you go and form your own personality, take care of your schoolwork (it's getting harder and harder to get into college- don't you want a good career?) and forget about filling a mold for yourself?
If you're so worried about not being fake, don't ask other people what's ';cool'; or not. figure it out for yourself. :]
For one... try correct grammer!! You spell well does not.
And as for your question:
If you wanna be cool, follow pop culture. Watch the coool T.V shows and learn to mimic thier behaviour. Read and understand what is in pop magazines and absorb it. Refresh yourself in a image that reflects what society wants you to be.
If you cant do that because it's 'fake', its not really 'you', become it. Want to be what you read, watch and hear. Then you will be cool. And you wont be fake.
If through some misguided sense of morality you think being a loser and not conforming to what most people want to be, prepare to be unhappy.
Good Luck with the hardest years of life.
{P.S: Because I want to be selected for best answer and you most likely dont give a ---- about what I wrote above, what is ';cool'; right now is the RAP music style and its image. This include tough black guys, hot horny women and lots of money and material possesions. Being a rebel has allways been cool, so dress up like a gangster and be a ******** to everybody around you but your mates and you would be awsome.}
The way to get noticed is to stand out.So my advice to you is just be yourself. Why would you wanna be like everyone else... Being different will always get you noticed. If you don't like tight jeans(aka skinny jeans).. Don't wear'em. If you like spiking your hair up... Do it. If you like bright colored shirts... Wear'em. The point Im trying to make is be yourself. Start your own trends.. Im sure that will get you noticed %26amp; everyone may wanna be like you.. You never know :) Just be true to yourself cuz that's all that matters..
I don't like skinny jeans (the ones that are tight like you described)
I wear clothes from American Eagle, Hollister, Aeropostale.
I listen to country music. Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts are my favs.
I also listen to Miley Cyrus.
What is ';cool'; is whatever you like.
Everyone has different opinions.
i dont try to get anybody to like me i just do my own thing and if they like me then i guess we just become friends
short bangs to the side
tight skinny jeans
vans and boots but i prefer just vans
i like the pants from wet seal because there not that tight on the ankles but aren't big
everybody has there own taste in music
not purses but kinda big bags that can hold your folder for school instead of a back pack
straighten or curl your hair
i think thats basically it
Look at my avatar.
Now, that's what's cool nowadays!
This is what I like, and trust me, I'm unique:
Music: The Presets and the Sohodolls
Fashion: D%26amp;G, Prada, Calibre, Ermenegildo Zegna
Movies: Perfume, Brideshead Revisited, Moulin Rouge, the Sum of Us
Wear great sunglasses always when you're outside.
My AM Eyewear sunnies tell people not to p.iss me off! They're big and they're black.
I don't really know what to say, all I've done is list my favourite things.
As a young person you can't be that much out of the loop right?
Quick and sweet to the point hunnie, BE YOURSELF, Stop trying to impress people!! If you are trying to impress people they aren't going to see the real you!! I use to do the same thing you are doing trying to fit in with everyone else, it doesn't help you, it just makes you feel worse inside! TRUST ME I know from expereince! If you don't like my advice I'm sorry, just telling you from my own views!
skinny jeans with nikes or converese are always going to be in lol.
People like me becuase Im real and I try to be nice to every one and I don't judge.
music: i dont follow that trend i listen to the music I like if my friends dont like it well then i dont have to share my ipod at vball games.
hope i helped
wow, thats pure consumerism atdertisement right there. in the true sense of the word, whats 'cool' right now and ever is doing whhat u wonna do. looking how u want to look, listening to what u wonna liasten to and be yourself. you shouldnt be so caught up on trying to be like everyone else, coz thats boring.
You want to know all these things, yet not be fake? Be yourself. If people don't like you when you act yourself, why would you want to be friends with them?
Trust me, there is always going to be someone cooler and more popular than you out there. High school isn't life.
Everybody likes different things, you don't need to wear what is considered cool, just things that you like.
Thats what I do, just clothes that look good together.
depends who you want to be liked by... id say where tightish jeans not those super tight emo/skater pants though some of those fuzzy boots are cute on girls and a tighter t-shirt, not to much make up a lil and wear your hair up nicly or done really nice if down... haha i am horrible
the cool thing now is to do what you wan tto do and look the way you want to look cause if you try and look like someone else.... then ew
Just experiment and find out what you like. When you know that thats what'll make you cool.
...but sam roberts rocks and skinny jeans are good... as long as your skinny.
Doood, just b-yo-self.
Really Wish i could help but Honestly thats exactly what most of us are asking our selves

Is it normal for teenagers to have a day out to the zoo?
My friends and I are teens and we are going to the zoo. Is this normal? We are white guys and girls. Is it normal for teenagers to have a day out to the zoo?
lol yeah its normal. i used to see groups of teens there all the time. actually, the most popular part of the zoo for teens is the children's zoo. that's where the petting areas for goats, sheep, lorikeets, and kangaroos are. the kangaroos are always sleeping though so basically the only attraction to them is that they're cute. and why did you include that you're white? lol.Is it normal for teenagers to have a day out to the zoo?
where I live in the midwest the high school students go to the zoo with their dates and that is how they get to know the parents. My daughter likes to go with her friends but they go their own way and not with us and have fun. As long as you are having fun, it is legal then you can do whatever you enjoy and who cares what anyone else is doing.
Normal just means about average
so if you do this occasionally or more often than that
then yes i would say that it's normal
Not sure what whiteness has to do with it? But yes of course it is normal. I don't even understand where you would think it isn't
yes, i go there all the time.
why not ?
it's a good place to walk and talk and look at funny animals :)
me and my friends are 18- 19
I was going to say yes it was normal, until you said you were white. Now I am going to have to say it's abnormal.
It can be fun to go to the zoo. (Well, except for the animals.) That's why lots of people (of all types and ages) go there.
ok first of all...who cares about your race? we aren't racists here! and second of all...i love the zoo! I'm a total and complete dork, but animals rock! although, the zoo smells...
I Think Its Normal!!! Atleast You Arent somewhere getting into trouble!! Me and My Friends Hang out at the bowling Alley!! Do You Think Thats Normal?????
The zoo is a great place to go,for anyone,at any age.
The zoo is awesome!!!!!!! I'm 18 and we go all the time.
I say hell yes! I still go to the zoo with my friends and I'm 17.
dude, that's kinda lame. unless there's a petting zoo. count me in. (I'm white to so it wont be awkward)
yeah, why not? it's a fun and interesting (as well as educational) place to go.
yeah its very normal...I LOVE going to the zoo...that is one place you are never too old to go to....
umm
its not abnormal
and what does it matter that you're white?

Does anyone know where I can find a free sewing/quilting pattern for a backpack for teenagers?
I want to quilt/sew a full size backpack for our kids school--not the little kiddie size ones that are for younger children.Does anyone know where I can find a free sewing/quilting pattern for a backpack for teenagers?
Wild Ginger has a software program that is free called ';Wild Things'; - you tell it how big you want and it prints pattern pieces on your printer - you just tape them together. There is a backpack with a flap, as well as a zippered messenger bag, called a shoulder bag on their descriptions. I've used this program to make matchy halloween bags. I'm just a satisfied dedicated customer - no affiliation...
I did a search for ';backpack'; on craftster.org, and got like 20 pages of homemade backpacks that people have made there. I think what might be most helpful for you might be the messenger bag tutorials below, with double straps instead of one - the straps would attach at the top and bottom. It is not that hard to do and doesn't require a pattern.Does anyone know where I can find a free sewing/quilting pattern for a backpack for teenagers?
I hope this site helps:

What do you think about female - male sleepovers in teenagers?
With no parentsWhat do you think about female - male sleepovers in teenagers?
Who cares if a kid sneeks over to the boys tent or vise versa...im sure theyre not going to have sex in front of every body elce! they may be horny but no one wants to wake up a tent full of people and have them stare at you. What do you think about female - male sleepovers in teenagers?
If they want to have sex, they will. If you try to prevent it, they'll just try harder to do it. There's nothing ';wrong'; with sex. Just talk to your kids and tell the parents of the others that are coming about it, so they're careful. The requirements for the sleep over should be that everyone's of legal age, disease tested, all girls are on birth control, and all guys are required to wear the anti-spermicidal condoms provided if they do anything.
It may sound nuts, but if all parents were like that, ';Respect your parents'; would be the cool new thing. Imagine how much respect you'd have from them, if you were accepting, logical and practical, yet firm on the other rules that make sense. They'd have nothing to hide, your friendship with your teens would grow, and the risk of pregnancy would probably go DOWN, because they're being safe and obeying you, rather than being possibly unsafe rebels.
Everyone's first instinct is to say bad idea. However, when oour gang went co-ed, we had a somple rule--if you are thinking about sharing your sleeping bag with someone, don't do it at our sleep-overs/campouts. We had earned the trust of the parents by the rules we had, and any 'extra' activities were just not allowed. It was also pointed out to the parents that if something ';extra' was going to happen, it was going to happen whether they were there or not. Like I said, we earned the trust of the parents by taking responsibility fo what our gang did, and what we would not allow. It takes time. but yes, co-ed witout parents can be a positive thing, if you take responsibility. BTW, there was only one parent in all those years that had anything negative to say about our sleepovers/campouts. The parent said that her son could not go with us because we had our rules about -no mating season-. She was actually afraid that we were all gay/lesbian, and she didnt want her son exposed to it. Go fig.
you have got to be joking yourself when you ask yourself this question. the plan answer is no, even if they say mommy dearest i promise i wont do anything and then they go and put that puppy face on it is just stupid. if you look at how many kids are getting pregnant in high school and now in jr. high without their parents knowning that they are sexually active what do you think that will happen when you have a sleepover and your parents do know that, would you want your daughter or son to be that girl in school that is pregnant or that guy that got her laid, i dont think so and then if you add the fact that stds are a big thing in the U.S.A right now, i mean every 5 in 10 people have some type of STD i dont think that that would be any where close to a good idea.
I think that you are just asking for trouble!! At our church we had a co-sleep over and the teams where suppose to sleep in there own tent...well that would mean that the teams of both girls and guys would be sleeping together and us girls talked the adults out of it. That sound backwards, but it is true. The only differance is that all of us there where virgins(from what I gather) and is was a church youth group kinda of thing!
ONLY if they are all FRIENDS...nothing more. When you're younger, it was okay because everyone was in 3rd or 4th grade and no one really had to worry about sex. Now that we are older we tend to hang around all the wrong people and get influenced by sex and drugs. You could try it if you want to but once a boy and a girl like each other in that group than, they are not afraid to try new things that night.
Bad idea...something is bound to happen. Even if they're in seperate tents, one boy or girl may sneak over to another tent, or worse, two will go off together to who knows where. I would never let my kids do that...it's practically asking for trouble.
that's basically a science experiment.
';let's see how many girls will get pregnant';
seriously, it's a bad idea.
any party ALONE with guys is crazy.
not a bad thing, but crazy.
overnight? that's crazy x2 PLUS bad news.
does it matter? I am assuming its because there the oposite sex the idea is there going to have sex or kiss or something, well if there ready for sex it doesn't really matter as long as they took sex ed and have had sex talks
i don't think it's a bad idea.
if you don't let them do it, they'll want to do it more.
No way!!!!!
Why not- they should be educated about in the whole field of sex education. So if they are educated and know the risk let them do as they want- it's not my concern.
Not until they're 18 and out of the house. Otherwise either the boys or girls or all of them are gay, then there are other problems.
with no parents i dont think that will be a good idea but some sleep overs are incent and if it is then ask your paerents abtou it see if they have any ideas on what you can do
Uh...no way. As a future parent I would never, ever allow it. Even with a parent there.
suspiciously skanky... it'll be a miracle if anyone gets out of there without getting knocked up.
I think you already know the answer to that one? Oh yes the tent changes everything! NOT
Intersex parties, yes. Maybe not sleepovers, depends how much I trusted my kids.
JUST AS LONG AS THEIR IS NO SEXUAL MISBEHAVIOR I DON'T CARE.
Allow it or your kids will start to contemplate killing you.
no, dont let them do that. they will do something that they might regret in the future.
Its ok i guess. Just make sure that they dont want to get into anything and keep anything from happening!
Ummm...NO. NO. NO. NO WAY. NO. Simply put...NO!!!
Errrr....not a good idea. I like the first answer...couldn't have said it better myself.

What is there to do in Las Vegas for teenagers?
Me and my family are going to Las Vegas in a few weeks and I know my parents will be at the slot machines the whole time I'm 15 and my brothers almost 17 is there anything we can do in Vegas that's safe and more fun than watching the same movie a gazillion times in a hotel room? What is there to do in Las Vegas for teenagers?
At 15 and 17, you're much too old for Circus Circus. You will see a lot of younger kids!!! Anyone who would recommend the Adventuredome at Circus Circus hasn't been there lately! Most teens hang out at GameWorks Movie Theatre (right next to Gameworks), Roller Coasters (Sahara and New York, New York) and the many malls on the strip. The weather will be nice, however it will probably be a little too cool for swimming. I can't imagine you will be entertained for long. Are there family or friends you and your brother could stay with while your parents are in Vegas? Seriously, there is not much for teens to do in Vegas. Vegas is not a family locale!!!!! You should suggest CA instead of Vegas to your parents! What is there to do in Las Vegas for teenagers?
If you end up here before Halloween, definetely try the Frightdome! I'm assuming your hotel room will be set on the strip and the Fashion Show Mall is within walking distance of most hotels and it's really nice and fun. Most casinos aren't strict on letting minors walk through the casino, just as long as you don't linger by the slots, and all the casinos are soooo nice and interesting so you should check that out. Try the forum shops in the Caesars Palace! There's a ton of free shows at night if you walk the strip, such as the pirate show at the T.I., the light show on Fremont, the water show at the Bellagio. You'll be safe, I bet you! Just don't stay out past curfew. The strip is pretty safe if you stay in the populated areas. You can see if there's any concerts going on at Jillians or the House of Blues while you're here. Gameworks is also a nice option for the daytime. Enjoy!
There is EVERYTHING in vegas for everyone. At least try visiting all the hotel themes. Or hangout at the pools at the hotels. Some of the best pools are Mandalay Bay, and The Palms Casino. There are things like ESPN and other fun stuff. The Needle, go golfing, go skydiving, I don't know..tons of stuff. Do a search on google and you should be able to find something.
Check out www.lasvegasnow for ideas but know after 9pm you cannot be outside the hotel without your parents

What is a good shampoo for oily hair for teenagers?
Even after being shampooed regularly it remains to look oily. What is a good shampoo for oily hair for teenagers?
OH! heres a secret, if it looks oily when it is dry, put corn starch in it. like flip your hair upside down and put corn starch on your fingertips. then run it thru your roots. :) oil free. trust me... i do this. esp. in the daytime/evening sometimesWhat is a good shampoo for oily hair for teenagers?
Anything labeled ';for oily hair';. Choose a see-through shampoo, they tend to have less gunky stuff in them, and clean the oil away better.
When shampooing, make sure you give yourself a scalp massage, and leave the shampoo on for 1 min+, depending on how oily your hair is.
Don't condition the roots, only the ends and near the ends.
Try a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a pint of water and use as a rinse.

How long do teenagers usually grow till?
I am 15 and im wondering if ill still grow more, currently im about 5feet 7inches so im curious if ill grow any further. any thoughts?
Thanks:)How long do teenagers usually grow till?
girls at around 18, guys at around 21..How long do teenagers usually grow till?
Girls tend to stop by the time they get to about 18. Guys carry on growing until they're about 21
girls stop growing at 18 and men stop growing at 21.
the age of 21
till 19 then they stop being teenagers
Depends, some people grow for a lot longer than others
The official line is that girls stop growing at 18 and guys at 21.
However I personally shot up a good few inches between 18 %26amp; 20 so this isn't true for everyone.
You can continue growing until you're 21, although usually you're done by 16.
thanks excally the same as me :O
i hate itt
but were meant to stop at 18 .. xface mask

How can i convince my parents to let me go on a surf trip with two teenagers?
so im planning on going on a surf trip with two of my friends,(ones 17 and ones 14)to puerto rico,i live in south carolina so its not very far of a flight.my mom is okay with it but my dad doesnt like it because he doesnt think its safe, what can i do to convince him otherwise. How can i convince my parents to let me go on a surf trip with two teenagers?
Are you staying with family of 1 of your friends?? If so, let your dad talk to the family %26amp; that will make him feel better. If not, I hope u are not planning on going alone b/c that will be hard for you guys to get around %26amp; unsafe. But if you do have adults with you then convince your dad those adultys are responsible. Also let him know that Puerto Rico is a US commonwealth %26amp; it is pretty safe. Goodlk. Dont do anything dumb %26amp; have fun cuz PR is beautiful! How can i convince my parents to let me go on a surf trip with two teenagers?
Who adult is going? Or at least where are you staying, if nobody is 18, than no hotel.....If your staying with someones family, I say than it is cool (let your parents talk to them on the phone) or if you are 18, than its cool. But if your like 16 and just trying to go kick it in PR with no real plans, Im with ur dad on this

What is there to do in vegas for two teenagers?
me and my friend we are going to vegas for our 18th b-day what can we do?What is there to do in vegas for two teenagers?
There is a lot for you to do http://www.bestofvegas.com/bestof/Best-S… there is a good article on some hang out places, but you can also go to more of the attractions too. What is there to do in vegas for two teenagers?
There are a lot of things to do in Vegas besides gambling. Many of the hotels, especially on the strip, have non-gaming activities.
Go on the rides at New York, New York, or the Stratosphere or the Sahara.
Visit the art museum at the Bellagio or the nuclear power museum.
Watch the pirate show at TI.
Go to Madame Tussuad's wax museum.
Take tours. One tour that is a blast is the comedian tour of Hoover Dam.
Watch some of the free attractions like the sky parade at the Rio, the volcano at the Mirage, the fountain shows at the Bellagio.
Go bowling or swimming at many of the hotels.
There are always conventions there. See if any of them appeal to you.
One of my all-time favorites is the Star Trek experience at the Hilton.
At 18 you may walk through the casinos to get someplace else so you can always check out the decors.
Mandalay Bay has a great Shark Reef.
Take in some shows. You can get half price tickets on the strip next to M %26amp; M World.
For that matter, M %26amp; M World has a really fun free video on the top floor.
Go to the jousting tournament at Excalibur.
Shop at the outlet malls.
Go downtown to the Fremont Street Experience, (and watch your wallet here!)
Eat at the buffets.
Well, Vegas is an adult playground and you have to be 21 to do most of the stuff. If there is gambling or liquor (tables, slots, night club) you have to be 21. Otherwise you can enjoy the pools, shows, and restaurants. Casinos will not allow you to wander in the gaming areas even if you don't gamble.
Check out www.lasvegasnow.com for ideas
Pick up those magazines at the hotel registration that have lots of coupons in them when you arrive.
But there are fun things to do:
Shark Reef Mandalay Bay
Dolphin Habitit %26amp; Sigfriend Roy's Secret Garden Mirage
Star Trek Experience Hilton
Scream rollercoaster NYNY
101 stories high rides Stratosphere
There are 5 Cirque shows - TI/Mystere considered by locals the best, no bad seats and cheapest; Mirage/Love Beattles tribute; O! a water version of Mystere; Zumanity adult version; %26amp; KA a dream version. There are hordes of other shows like Caesars/Bette or Cher or Tina, Trop/Follies; Ballys/Juballee. Make sure you try a buffet or two.
You can go bowling or see a movie at South Point or Orleans. You can see a movie in the theatre complex by the MGM Grand.
Sights to see off Strip - Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire, Springs Preserve, Have fun in my beautiful city in the middle of the Mohave Desert.
I recommend you find another city to celebrate your 18th and wait until your 21st to truly enjoy Vegas.
Hopefully, you are staying at a hotel with a great pool. Don't forget that there is a lot of shopping, too. Most every hotel has shops and lots to see. Planet Hollywood has 130 shops. Then there is the Fashion Show Mall center strip. It has 250 shops and 6 major department stores.
The Stratosphere has some pretty scary rides at the top of the tower, too. New York, New York is made to look a lot like neighborhoods in Manhattan right down to steam coming out of the manhole covers. The Venetian has a canal with gondolas. Take your time and really look around. The artwork on the ceiling can take your breath away.
Tip- a free tram runs from Excalibur to Mandalay Bay, back to Luxor and then Excalibur again. Saves a lot of walking. There is another that connects Mirage and Treasure Island. When in Treasure Island check out Kahunaville. It is a tropical themed restaurant that is not too pricey and is a lot of fun. It is right accross from the Mystere show theater.
See some of the shows, too. The Cirque shows are amazing, the Blue Man is fun, too. You have to experience the buffet at Paris for breakfast. Ooo-la-la! Great! They even have a made to order omelet station and a made to order crepe station. Get plenty of raspberries and lots of whipped cream! This buffet is huge so take a good look around but don't forget where your seat is.

There is actually not as much as you would think. You might like the Arcades at Gameworks. Sunset park is often mentioned but kind of boring if you ask me.
Vegas is really just like any other big city. Locals find plenty to do, but the touristy stuff is really for Adults.
Here's a list you might want to check out that has pretty much every activity for - I hate to call you Kids, but lets just say under 18.
http://www.kidsinvegas.com/activity-guid…
Vegas is great for anyone over 21, and anyone under 14. In the middle they will get bored. Sure there many be plenty of things for them to do, but I know they will feel antsy and not be having a great time.

First thing is you need to be sure that there is a person going with you who is over age 21 to reserve a room for you. Then I suggest staying at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, the MGM, or the Monte Carlo. These hotels have the best pool areas. The Mandalay bay has a huge wave pool with a sand beach and a lazy river. MGM has a huge lazy river and a water fall. Monte Carlo has a small wave pool and lazy river.
When you go to Las Vegas these usual things you will want to see for FREE:
1. Number one on my list is to watch the fountains displays in front of the Bellagio hotel. It usually runs every 15 minutes in summers starting at 3:00 PM; runs continuously until about midnight. Each show is different (there are more than 20 different tunes choreographed) so stay and watch at least 2 or 3. ALSO, go inside the Bellagio hotel to its lobby and view the beautiful glass sculptured ceiling AND the seasonal floral arrangements in the Atrium.
2. The “Sirens of TI” show (spectacular) in from of the Treasure Island Hotel; it runs every 90 minutes starting at about 4:30 PM. Simply stand on the sidewalk in front of the TI Hotel.
3. The volcano erupt in from of the Mirage Hotel; starting at dark until midnight. Again, just stand on the sidewalk in front of the hotel.
4. Go down to Fremont Street and see the light shows. There are usually 3 or 4 different shows, starting after dark (about 8:30PM) and lasting about 5 or 10 minutes each.
5. Go to the RIO hotel to see the Masquerade in the Sky show. It is like Mardi Gras parade, only suspended from the ceiling over the gambling floor. It runs every 60 minutes starting about 3:00 PM; the last show starts at 9:30 PM..
6. Go in Caesars Palace and walk through the Forum shops to the first fountain (its spectacular) then take the first fork to the left to go see the aquarium. Then continue on through the shops to the second fountain and wait for the show to start.
If you are a Star Trek Fan, go to the Hilton (off the strip) for ';Star Trek The Experience';; it cost about $35.
MOVIES: There are movie theaters in the Palms (multiplex) and also another on the Strip across the street from the Monte Carlo hotel, near the MGM hotel.
BOWLING: If you like to bowl, there are alley's in The Gold Coast Hotel/Casino (beside the RIO) and in the Orleans Hotel Casino. .
ACT LIKE A KID: If you like roller coasters, there are roller coaster rides at the NY, NY hotel/casino, at the Sahara Hotel/Casino, and, for those with a strong heart, three rides at the top of the Stratosphere Tower. The Circus Circus Hotel/casino has arcades and an indoor amusement park. There is a place called Game Works below the Coke World experience that has all type video games. In addition, many hotels have an arcade area.
OTHER THINGS:
RED ROCK CANYON: Its about 20 miles west of Las Vegas out Charleston Blvd (you can pick up that street at the north end of the Strip) It’s a scenic drive-through park. Go early, not in the heat of the day; there's no shade.
HOOVER DAM: Drive about 30 miles southeast of Vegas and go to Hoover Dam; the National Park Service offers tours there (@ $15.) and its interesting stuff. Go on past Hoover dam to Boulder City and then to Lake Meade for a swim and/or to visit the new casino there. Also, there are tour companies that will take you on a cruise of the river below Hoover Dam. Check the Vegas web sites.
VALLEY OF FIRE STATE PARK: Drive about 35 miles north of Vegas on I-15 and go to Valley of Fire State Park, another scenic park area.

Are there any good acting classes near 60120 for teenagers?
Ok, I WAS going to try John Robert Powers, found out it's a scam, and now I have nowhere to learn the trade of film acting and stuff like that. I need something to help with make up/hair/appearance, film acting, and anything else you think would be good for a 13 year old. I think that my (mom's) driving limit is 1 hour away. Thanks so much! :)Are there any good acting classes near 60120 for teenagers?
If you are really serious about this, then, you must realize from the very beginning that to study acting and modeling you will need to be committed to training. If you can honestly say that you are willing to work hard because this is something you are passionate about and not because you just want to be famous, you might try the Barbizon School in Schaumburg, IL. They have both acting and modeling classes. Check them out, I believe they are accredited by your state. Good luck! Are there any good acting classes near 60120 for teenagers?

Sure there many be plenty of things for them to do, but I know they will feel antsy and not be having a great time.
check out the las Vegas natural history museum! its awesome!!! we have live animals including sharks, sting rays snakes, and much more!! i suggest going on a Saturday!! check it out at www.lvnhm.org.
You can't gamble or drink...

Do you find teenagers who loves music weird?
Do people really find high school teens who loves music (like writing lyrics and make songs and stuff) weird? Because I'm one of them and most of my friends around me (at school) thinks I'm a weirdo and daydreamer and stuff like that.Do you find teenagers who loves music weird?
NO WAY! I think that's awesome! I do that and all my friends think I'm weird, but I like it. People who write lyrics and songs are often for deep , sensitive, and mature for the age and that often pays of in the long run. I wish I had more friends who did stuff like that. Keep on doing that, in 10 years when your a star, who will be the cool one than? ;)Do you find teenagers who loves music weird?
I say keep on doing your thing. I actually love music, although I don't write any songs, and I really look up to those people who actually have a talent and want to show off what they know. music is the thing that makes us all want to wake up in the morning, without music the world would be a dull place..
depends on the music you write
na just kidding
they are just ignorant people with no artistic view of anything
if you like it and enjoy doing it don't let nobody tell you otherwise (unless is something like using drugs)
ignore the comments and continue with your love for music :)
That's not weird. You just have a different personality that the others. I some times do that when i have to let something out. You might become famous if you can sing too. So don't let your friends push you down about that because if you like it then there's no problem in doing it :)
Music is one of the many tools that can 'soothe the savage beast'. What I think is weird is people who don't like music. Any music. And I believe that secretly, they really like music. But can't understand it.
no way! dont worry about them, if you enjoy writing lyrics and making songs thats okay. its what you have a passion for. never let anyone get in the way of your dreams :) dont change for anyone.
no, i'd say that's normal. but then it's also normal for a teenager to pretend to think something is weird when it's really not... so your friends are also normal.
No, that's pretty cool. Ask long as it's not distracting/annoying to others, I think that's okay. However, teens that like weird music are weird ;-)
Well im a day dreamer too, and i right songs and sing them.I also write poetry. But since my vioce sucks i do it to myself lol
No!
i LOVE these people, you are not weird, you are kinda ';Happy-Go-Lucky'; and you drift from thing to thing?
i would absolutley love to be like you! :)
no cause i am one i constently listento music in class and doodle my favorite lyrics or some of my own to my notebooks
Only if you suck at what you're doing.
no
at least 50% of the people I know are like that. stop trying to make out that your an individual, rare and unique.
