I,m 13 and need a job to buy a new printer for my computer do you know any jobs i can do?Do you know any jobs for early teenagers? If not what can i do for lots of cash?
Go around your neighborhood, ask your neighbors to let you mow there lawn, clean there house, help carry there groceries inside, wash there car, walk there dog or baby sit there kids. Tell them that you need to work for money to buy a new printer, so any odd job they give you or any amount they pay you would be OK with you.Do you know any jobs for early teenagers? If not what can i do for lots of cash?
There is NOTHING you can do for LOTS of cash.
You can mow lawns, do yard work, help folks in the neighborhood ... clean out gutters, garages and wash cars.
You could get a work premit through your school, and just go and ask different businesses if they hire people on a work permit. that's how i got my very first job at a meat market when i was 14. Good luck!!!
The only way you're going to make ';lots of cash'; is if maybe you get into organized crime like in the movie ';Goodfellas';. Otherwise, you're just going to have to settle for little bits of money at a time while doing odds and ends until you finally earn the necessary amount of money for your printer. As others have suggested, there are plenty of small jobs you can choose from in order to make your money. Choose one that you like or can tolerate the most and be patient. You'll get your money eventually.
not alot of jobs for teenagers pay big amount of money....
your best bet will be mowing lawns, washing cars, babysitting,
cleaning around the house and asking for an allowance.
raking leaves, dog walking, or go ask at your school about the summer jobs programs you may get a job as a counselor for younger kids.. They always have good jobs for teens..
you can tutor, play sports with younger kids, or other stuff..
you can also check your local newspaper office.. they're always looking for paperboys, you can deliver the paper in the morning..... Hope you get a job, Good luck!
there are a couple of things you can do. I know that McDonalds usually highers younger people and you can also do babysitting. Those aren't bad. I've done them both when I was 13 and 14...
cant work for a company or business until u are 15... at some places..16 at most places..and 17 at all places...try a family or family friend business, that should work
Hii.
I'm your age as well.
You can try paper route, it works well.
You'll be able to buy a printer in about a month if you get a job as a paper route person, and if you decide to keep the job you can always have some extra cash in your hand. :) I do it as well. If you're not interested in that try mowing lawns since spring is here, i'm sure people would pay you to do those jobs.
Or help around the house! And maybe your parents will give you some money.
You can try babysitting or even walking dogs!
I'm sure you'll get the printer you want if you do one of these!
Goodluck!!
You could start by asking neighbors or relatives if they would like to hire you to mow their lawn, rake their leaves, paint something, snow removal, or pretty much any odd job needed. Also a paper route in your neighborhood. You could babysit for a family member, or someone you know.... that's always needed. You can hold a garage sale, if you need to get rid of some things, when I was 15, I held one and made out with $120- that was great! That is a start, and most likely you'll find alot of jobs, especially with the elderly- they can always use a helping hand.
Work retail. Try your local stores. Or try a restuarant. Don't get your hopes too high though. I'm guessing a 13 year old probably won't rake in the dough.
Deliver newspapers, mow lawns, ...
Not a lot with the child labor laws and the permits needed.
There are may odd jobs you can do at your age to make a little cash like a paper route or something. When I was your age I used to clean up on the weekends mowing lawns. I made more mowing lawns than I did at some of my first real jobs such as McDonald's. I would make well over 100 dollars in a weekend most of the time in one day and then go out with my friends at night. I always had the most cash of any of my friends with their pitty allowance, LOL. I would charge 15 to 20 dollars per yard and get 5 to 6 yards to do in my neighborhood per week. A guy your age.....mowing lawns is the best and fastest way to get cash!
summer is comming up, you could mow lawns
Most states won't let you work till 15 or 16, and at those ages you still cannot work around anything sharp or hot. Best thing to do is mow lawns, yard work, that sort of thing, something on your own. But as far as actual work for a real pay check, you need to check local laws.
lots of cash good luck with that
However I do hope you find something so you can get that new computer printer.
lawn mowing
dog walking
news paper
and the best paying and really fun one is a life guard if you can swim but you have to be fourteen in mot places and you have to take a lot of classes if you are interested and can wait I really love being a life gaurd
good hours, well payed, easy, lots of nice people, love kids, nice boss, good facility(a new YMCA) if you can find a good place to do it it is a riot
Newspaper route.
You can mow people's lawns, do a paper route. Help out your parents with errands and make a little extra money. You're too young to get a real job right now.

Why is it that questions of an adult nature are not allowed here, yet teenagers can come here to socialize?
I have some serious questions that I'm dying to ask (after all, isn't this a question %26amp; answer website?). Yet, I can ask them because they are of an adult nature (not necessarily sexual though).
Why is it that a responsible adult can't ask a question of an adult nature here, yet teenagers can come here and turn this question %26amp; answer website into some type of social club? Why don't gay teens go on Myspace or something and form some type of group for gay teens? Why is it that questions of an adult nature are not allowed here, yet teenagers can come here to socialize?
IDK but I don't use it as a social sight and I answer those stupid questions with somehting in the line of go away and get on myspace or something. Why is it that questions of an adult nature are not allowed here, yet teenagers can come here to socialize?
Us teenagers are on here to express our opinions on Yahoo! Answers. The LBGT community is for EVERYONE showing the diversity between society and modernization. This is a place where we can express ourselves freely along with our emotions.
We are responsible and we are maturing as we go along.
We CAN go onto MySpace and Bebo and all those social networking sites but sometimes we come on here to actually belong to a certain society. I am on here helping people because I am a Psychologist in training and this is helping me understand. Accept that we are here please.
:)
With out knowing your questions (adult ones) its not possible to answer.
I have to say, some questions posted here are very much of an adult nature and often these come from kids so any you have that were removed must have been very over the top.
People need to remember that although this is a questions and answers section that is focused towards an adult topic, young people do visit and so do read our post. Yahoo have a responsibility to protect these kids. They use us users as the censors. They rely on people reporting post rather than them reading every post. So someone is reporting your post to Yahoo.
Maybe you could reword the post so that its not as easy to report?
Y!A is 13+, if I remember correctly. Ask away, and just ignore the childish answers. Just word it carefully so it doesn't freak out a 13 year old who stumbles across it.
Oh and I'm not on Myspace but if your friends can see recent activity then it could be awkward. None of my friends know I'm on Y!A and I don't give out details. I really appreciate being able to ask questions anonymously (%26lt;-- I'm fairly sure I mis-spelled that, spell check won't work for me)
There is no way on Y/A! to prove that you are an adult. So anyone can be on here. Although people on here are supposed to be at least 13 or 14, there are younger people on here.
It was suggested some time ago that there should be an over 18 section but the same problem would arise. How would you prove your age?
Because the teens are on this site.
Go to Pogo and play in the uncensured rooms. You can ask all the questions you want.
Or, I find that the discussions on Amazon.com are more interesting. They aren't as censured.
have you been in the beauty section? its 12 year olds going am i cute???? he he he! brats. dating and relationships is like 14 to 18 year olds, half of which are pregnant, talking about does he like me?
no kidding. i thought yahoo had age rules?
Im gay like most of the other people on this area(LGBT)why cant I talk on here?I have questions like everyone else.
Plus teenagers(most of them)aren't sweet and innocent like in the 50's.We hear about ';grown up';stuff.
It may be how you are wording them. I've seen some pretty adult themed questions get through.
I'm 28 and I've asked my adult questions here with no problems - I don't see a reason why you couldn't.
cuz we can.

What are the most popular websites for teenagers?
I'm just wondering for my daughter...What are the most popular websites for teenagers?
Are you referring to you gay daughter...? This was posted on the LGBT section. What are the most popular websites for teenagers?
Facebook and Gaia Online (see source). If your daughter is 13 or older, that would be a good place for her as she can have fun while being herself. (Plus the site is rated PG-13, and it's *stuck* at that rating.)
Sorry... but Gaia Online has been my hobby for the past 5+ years. For me, that's a long time! ^.~
Myspace and Youtube,
About at least half of all teens in the world have an Account on one of these sites.
myspace, facebook, youtube.
youtube, facebook ,myspace and

What do you think of young people (teenagers) learning how to box?
Do you thing that boxing would encourage them to be violent, or that it would be excellent for self-discipline and confidence? What do you think of young people (teenagers) learning how to box?
the latter, how often do you hear about a boxer getting into a street fight. Don't get me wrong there has been a few (tyson) that have, but the majority doesn't. i box when i was young (golden gloves twice) i didn't get into a lot of fights, but the fights i did have was for self defense only. the reason i won these fights was because of my boxing skills. this is a good tool for teaching self defense and discipline...

Teenagers?
how can i b a well rounded teen? not perfect but manners, clothes, agreeing with parent.......Teenagers?
Try to be as modest as well as brave as possible. Be gentle in speaking, nice in ur manner. Try to obey ur parents. Keep them time to serve them. Enjoy ur life with only legal funs and finaly try to learn what can help u to be so nice a girl. Best of luck.Teenagers?
Well, heres how you do it:
Step one: you can't
Step two: you don't
Step three: just be a regular teen with flaws and downsides and everything will be great.
NEVER try to change yourself for people. Unless its for the better. If someone is trying to change you because its only for them, then dont because theyre being selfish or something.
Realize that your parents are not dumbasses who just fell out of the sky one day - they are older than you, most likely wiser than you, and have known you since before your birth - and have been through all the same things you are going through. Take their advice and don't have unnecessary fights with them. They are only looking out for your best interest, so don't always assume they are the enemy! You may not realize it now, but when you get older, you will understand that they were probably right about most of what they said to you, warned you about, etc... even though parents have flaws too and don't always say the right thing. This has something to do with clothing too, because you should respect them if they feel what you are wearing is inappropriate. A good rule of thumb is to dress as if your body is NOT the most important thing about you.
take advice from your mother, be agreeable and friendly, but at the same time dont loose yourself.
you have to be you, but being you doesnt mean badmouthing anyone, stick to your morals. treat others the way you want to be treated, and avoid he said she said situations by not talking bad about others, it will almost for sure get back around and you will be put on the spot and its never comfortable to be like that.
cloths, just respect yourself. dont have to dress like a nun, but at the very least keep some skin to the immagination. and realise that at this time you wont always agree with your parents, but you are from difforent generations. just respect their views, and understand that they are trying to do whats best for you.
also repect doesnt mean you agree, but it does mean youll listen to reason.
basketballgirl- shut ya mouth dont know nothing.
I a a well rounded teen and i would like to think so, so it can be done. All you have to do is be polite and well mannered but not perfect just be there for people and listen to people with eye contact when they are talking to you, respect your parents and do well in ya studies. That is all you can do, i know it is not easy to say but it can be done with a bit of preservation!. As for clothes wear what you are confortable in but at the same time be smart!.
If you want any more advice email me via my pro on yahoo answers!
All the best
and you can do it
xx
I am afraid to say... that this is not possible and extremely funny.
It sounds like you are already on the right track. Just be yourself, and don't let the peer pressure get to you. Other kids WILL try and pressure you into doing things you don't feel right doing. The best thing I can say is learn to listen to your ';gut instincts'; that's the thing that kept me out of a lot of trouble. Take your education seriously, and read read read. If you get good enough grades you could get a college scholarship, which will save your parents a lot of money. Hopefully you have a good line of communication with your parents, and if you do they are your best resource for help if you feel pressured by your peers, or if you get picked on. They've already been there, so they will be able to give you the right perspective. If you can't talk to your parents, maybe you can to another adult you trust.
Don't let a guy talk you in to having sex, by using lines like ';I love you';, etc... All they want is to get in your pants and de-virginize you so they can brag to their friends. If HE really loves you, he will respect your wishes regarding sex.
Stay away from drugs. There will be kids that will try to get you to try drugs. Just say no thanks. Be strong and self confident, and don't let the kids that say mean things to you, get to you. they are most likely just trying to make you feel bad to make themselves feel better. Also, don't be afraid to be nice to the person that everybody else appears to be picking on. That person may need a good friend. And if your friends give you a hard time, just tell them to grow up and join the real world. People are people, no matter if they are rich, or poor. A lot of kids come from disfunctional homes, and they need a good friend who will have their best interests at heart. I had a friend like that, and I took a lot of teasing for it, but I didn't care. I was her 1 and only friend. She was being abused at home, and then by her peers. Kids a lot of time, don't understand what other kids are dealing with in their own homes, and make fun of them, which in essense, is kicking them when they are already down. It's just not fair. There is life after high school, and it does not depend on how popular you were or anything else. As long as you stay true to yourself, and follow your heart, you will do fine.
And remember, your parents always try to have your best interests in mind. I hope this is helpful to you.
Of course it's nice to have good manners. But everyone likes different kinds of cloths, so what you wear won't really affect how you are as a teen. And you're not ALWAYS gonna agree with your parents. You gonna have your own opinions. You may be under 18, but you have a mind of your own. I hope I helped. =]

Teenagers?
What is this whole independence thing that you people want now. When my daughter turned 14 she wanted a job, the answer was NO. Now she's turning 15 %26amp; she wants a job to pay for her own car, the answer is still NO. What happened to the days when you guys said mom, can you buy me this %26amp; that? Why would someone whose 15 want to get a job, when they'll have YEARS ahead of them to work? I'm confusedTeenagers?
I also have a 15 yr. old daughter and soon to be 16 in May. Tell your daughter what I told mine, that is she will more than likely have to work most of her life and now is the time to be a teenager. And she can ensure that her school grades and any home work is at her very Best. And she has more time for Family %26amp; Friends. Because as a teenager she will have to work on weekends %26amp; evenings %26amp; only till a certain time that the Gov. allows. Even though she thinks she maybe able to handle school and work it will take alot out of her. I hope this will help.My daughter thought it over when I put it to her this way.And she is glad she is not working.Teenagers?
And Thank You for choosing my answer. As you can see some of the people that responded to your question got a job when they were in their teenage years and you can see in the spelling that it hurt them in the long run. Sure they lined their pockets with money, But what is lining their head
i'm 16 and have a job, i never asked my parents for money, it just seemed odd to me, it wasn''t about independence it was just i wanted stuff so... i needed money, got a job
also i read an article where teens who have part time jobs under 20 hrs. a week become more organized and their grades or something go up, idk about that last part, but over 20 hrs. a week results in an increased chance of the teen dropping out
Im 15 and is in need of a job. It is normal for us 2 want a job!! Atleast u know that your daughter is willing to be responsible!
Um mm Mommy? Will you buy me a car too? *bats eyes*
Wow..If only I could hear my 16 year old say that....sigh....
You want to buy her a car...cool let her pay for half!
Seems like she is a very responsible teenager!
She can babysit?! I was a lifeguard at that age...LOL
Working is not a bad thing like you make it out to be ... we're not talking full time but a couple hours here %26amp; there. It's productive %26amp; helps teach children responsibility %26amp; other positive aspects for their future. By giving them everything %26amp; paying for their car, you turn them into selfish brats who don't appreciate what it takes to earn money %26amp; they later come to expect this from their husbands.
Hey, at least you didn't raise a spoiled daughter! I would think it's a good thing that she's not asking you for $$ like it grows on a tree in your back yard.
When I was 15 I wanted to have $$ so I could do what I wanted with it. Everytime I asked my parents for money or if I could get something they asked, ';what for'; or said, ';no';. I wanted cash flow that wasn't regulated by my parents.
I completely understand where your coming from but i can also remember what it felt like back when i was 15. Im 21 now and i remember when i was 15 i wanted a job because i was sick and tired of having to as my parents for lunch money, money to got o the mall. Its was the whole point of that i was working for my money and no one was going to be able to take that money away from me. I worked when i was 15 and i wanted to save up for a car cuz i knew that my parents didnt want me driving but if I PAID for the car they had nothing to say because it was MY car. This whole thing about wanting to work at a young age is just their way of saying they want to have something they can call their OWN. they live in YOUR HOUSE, FOLLOW YOUR RULES, they just want to have something that they worked for and know that no one can take that away
From what I understand, the only job a teen can legally obtain is baby-sitting, mowing lawns, or working in a family-owned business. Most employers won't hire younger than 16.
well for one if u have a job u can buy ur own stuff and pay ur own bills....that way when u get in trouble n ur parent wants 2 say well im takin this or i aint payin 4 that....it has less affect cus u brought it and u pay for it.
man your a good mom i wish my mom was like that your daughter should be lucky she has a mom like you some girls would die for what she has
well for one if u have a job u can buy ur own stuff and pay ur own bills....that way when u get in trouble n ur parent wants 2 say well im takin this or i aint payin 4 that....it has less affect cus u brought it and u pay for it.
Well, first of all you are a very nice mother to offer buying your daughter a car, many kids would love to have that opportunity. But I'm curious, in most states you have to be at least 16 to get a job, and even still it can be difficult to find a job at such a young age. However, I think working shows Independence and responsibility and those are good characteristics to have at such a young age. If she HAS to have a job, you both should reach a compromise, a babysitting job on the weekends would be a good way for her to earn alittle extra money without spending to much time. Let her work, just try to monitor her hours.
What the hell is $20 a week?! Thats not even close to $5 a day. It shows that she wants to be responsible and to be ready for adulthood, dont'cha think? Just talk to her and ask what type of job she wants, help her build her resume and her communication skills,do you know where to look for a job, and if you dont like the job shes looking @ just tell her no. have restrictions. im sure she dont wanna be a stripper or none of that. i don't know why you complaining about the small/good stuff. She wants to feel a heavy pocket that she earned all by her own. At least shes not the type of girl that wants to dress like a hoe go out @ all hours of the night have sex do drugs run up the phone bill and all that fun stuff.ujst let her do the positive until you edge her on to do the negative.. got me?
im 15 and i want a job .there is nothing wrong with that if we feel that we are mature enough then you should be glad we are taking responsiblity
hahaha, i wish you were my mom. My mom made me get a job at 14.
I agree. Will you buy me one too...please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow my parents Keep screaming at me to get a job.
and their making me my own car
I wish my parents were like that. I'm 16 and they want me to get a job so I can get a car and pay for it.
Buy her a car so she can get to work. Why don't you want her to work?
Shes growing up you have to face it. Let her have a job.lips
Report Abuse
i'm 16 and have a job, i never asked my parents for money, it just seemed odd to me, it wasn''t about independence it was just i wanted stuff so... i needed money, got a job
also i read an article where teens who have part time jobs under 20 hrs. a week become more organized and their grades or something go up, idk about that last part, but over 20 hrs. a week results in an increased chance of the teen dropping out
Im 15 and is in need of a job.

Teenagers!?
Go on this website it will take one minute Trust!!.....
http://pokerrpg.com/?id=worldisyours90Teenagers!?
After reading them answers, I don't dare to. FreakTeenagers!?
So as far as I can tell this is poker. I haven't accessed the site and I don't really want to. I can play poker, and I can play it well. I am a teenager, I'm 16. But I don't like to gamble. When playing with my friends, we don't really take it serious - it's just a bit of fun, as much as the next game. Why teenagers though?
Ok, so I just clicked on the site. I can see why. Because of the prizes. I don't want any of them. I have a perfectly fine mp3 and a perfectly fine set of speakers.
And I prefer playing poker with people I do know, i.e. my friends, because that way it's more personal and a lot more fun.
So, sorry, but I won't.
That is not very smart asking teenagers too go on a gambling website. Just go away loser. Anyway isn't gambling for people 18 over when teenage life is coming to a end.
I'm thinking about it. . . I'll edit once I go there. . kinda scared tho. . . ugh.
EDIT: Poker?? I don't even know how to play!!
went on it but i does not look like a place a teenager would be if you ask me
u r irresponsible.....u cld get in trouble for exposing us young souls to such habits!

Where can i find printable surveys for teenagers to do in my sunday school class?
it doesnt have to be on God and stuff but on real life issues like self esteem, eating, stress, school etc.
thanks!Where can i find printable surveys for teenagers to do in my sunday school class?
try making your own. I have been looking online and I cannot find any thing to print out, but here are some ideas for making your own.
ask questions like
does your school have a prayer group?
if so do you attend?
do other kids make fun of those in prayer group?
do you avoid prayer group because you don't want to be laughed at?
are you asamed to share your faith with others?
then close out with romans 1:16 ';For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth...';
you could also offer advice for starting a prayer group in school.

What Are Some Popular Japanese Manga For Teenagers?
And could you tell me a little about each? ;)
Thanks. What Are Some Popular Japanese Manga For Teenagers?
Naruto - A orphan named Naruto trains to be the top ninja in his village. He's put into a 3-man squad along with Sasuke and Sakura, and his sensei Kakashi. They train and they fight other ninjas from different lands on missions... It's pretty good. Lots of action and humor.
Bleach - Ichigo Kurosaki becomes a Soul Reaper by unorthodox means and travels to Soul Society, where spirits live and where Soul Reapers live to stop his Soul Reaper friend Rukia from being executed..... It's also a really good manga. There are lots of funny characters.. You'll probably enjoy it.
Deathnote - Light Yagami, a college student who is super smart is bored out of his mind until Ryuk, a Shinigami monster, drops the Deathnote into the Human World. ';Any human whose name is written in this notebook shall die';. Light finds this notebook and dedicates himself to killing criminals. By doing this, people will fear Kira, the name the government gives this mysterious killer, and people will not commit crimes out of fear of punishment from Kira. However, there are those who do not agree with Kira's punishments, and try to seek him out and arrest him. World-class detective, L, is on the case and attempts to hunt down Kira, and a battle of minds and wits occurs between Light and L.
Deathnote is really interesting, and I suggest you read it as well. :]
One Piece - Luffy eats a cursed fruit and gains the ability to stretch like rubber at the cost of never being able to swim again. He puts together a small crew and sets out to reach the Grand Line, where the ultimate treasure ';One Piece'; is.
*First 3 manga listed are the Shonen ';Top Three'; and are the most popular

Fullmetal Alchemist- Edward Elric and his brother Alphonse commit the worst sin possible by trying to use alchemy to bring their deceased mother back to life. Ed loses his arm and leg and Al loses his entire body. Ed, now equipped with automail limbs, and Al's soul in a suit of armor, set off to find the mythical Philosopher's Stone to regain their lost bodies.

Do teenagers have to much power in America?
I mean over parents and the government.Do teenagers have to much power in America?
In some ways, too little power. Their cultural norms (and, for that matter, the norms of twentysomethings!) are not adequately respected by the older generations. While parents have the duty to apply wisdom, they need to distinguish between parenting and simple disagreement with teens' tastes and interests.Do teenagers have to much power in America?
Too much? I do hope you're joking. Perhaps over their parents, but not over government. I mean, teenagers can't do anything without the assistance of their parents. They can't get IDs, passports, bank accounts, etc. Teenagers aren't given enough power over their lives, and that's why so many of them are overwhelmed when they reach adulthood and its sudden wave of responsibility after years of enforced irresponsibility and impotence. I think that teens should be held accountable for their decisions and should be given greater freedom to make decisions regarding their lives. How can you expect someone with no decision-making experience to suddenly transform into a responsible, informed adult at 18? It's ridiculous.
we have noooo power, only the media has power over government, and parents only let you have power, you can't take it on your own
No, but i believe that even a person is just a teenager they could do alot of stuff to change the world into a diffferent place.
no, they don't even understand power.. if they did and had the ability of power they could control things with much more efficency.
sounds like to me your friend has no control thus they don't have the power.
To little power
power?
what power?? teenagers cant even vote until there 18
No
only if i threten to cut myself
They try but fail miserably
Yes.

Hello Beau,
some places have community centres who run fitness and sports activities during the summer you should ask around about these, ask at school, the police station, the city / town hall, one of them will know.
In the meantime try visiting the site below, you will get some good ideas there (all free) and diet plans etc.
Good luck and healthy regards,

What do you think about racism among teenagers?
Im doing coursework, whats your opinions? What do you think about racism among teenagers?
I think that as a teenagaer myself, adults help the children learn rasiscm as much as anything. A lot of teens I hang out with have a ';so-what-if-you're'; additude. 90% of my friends are white, but we are all different. Some are skinny, some are fat. There's a huge group of us that plays Runsecape, and we use that as the common denominater. If teens can find something in common it doesn't usually matter. What do you think about racism among teenagers?
I think there are certainly racism among teenagers in UK even up to today, and that is a very sad thing. It shows you that they need to be properly educated. They seem to have pretty closed mind about certain group of people such as immigrants or Muslim people, and I think adults around them are responsible for that. The adults have to be educated better in order to stop kids being racists.
it sucks. i guess everybody learns it from their parents. when we hear our parents say sumthin at home, we think its ok since they said it. n when ur a teenager, its bad to be different. theres sum white kids in my school that get their *** kicked just for bein white. i feel bad that sh*t like that happens cuz of their skin color
The social environment changes people. Its also sad due to the fact that it skews their views on wider issues in which they would otherwise be building their own opinions on based upon analysis of facts other then race related information. Racism is an appalling and gross issue. Its sad that young people are learning at an earlier stage something so fundamentally difficult to change among adults whom utilise it to exploit all sorts of situations that they come across in later life.
In the DR.PHIL house this season they did a lot on racism and prejudice of manykinds... Maybe you might find some useful statistics and info on his site! Good luck
Racism is a fact of life I believe. Even animals are racist, a tribe of monkeys with a abundent supply of food and water and shelter would not want to share with a different tribe if they had none as they care more for their own, both groups are monkeys but they look after their own kind. People are much the same as this.
Children and teenagers only learn these racist remarks from others, parents, family etc.I think they have a right to say some things like asking questions about multi-cultural races. But the racist thing is too sensitive nowadays and small children can get into trouble for saying innocent things like ';that dolly is black';
I now a 3 year old who has a coloured doll and calls her ';chocolate'; No harm in that.
P.S im not racist myself just stating the facts
My experience is that relatively few teenagers are racist.
It is bad. Many people in my school are racist and say mean things about minorities, because it is mostly a white school. They are so mean and when they say mean things about me I feel really bad about myself.
I kind of think racism is an ancient tool for tribal survival.
children are not racist because they are not yet having to provide for the tribe.
But an adult must be suspicious of people from other tribes who might kill him, or take his wife or his food supply etc.
It is natural to be suspicious of the unknown.
I dislike it to the highest value. To me people are the same. Just because we have different skin color doesn't mean we are these horrible people. I really don't get racism. Like I said people are just people. We are all the same. Plain and simple.
Just blunders and slip-ups with human errors in the creation of living human kind into mankind as the Son of God on planet earth.
Instead the dirty old men in office created living human kind into people of different races of racism with self prides as the son of men in planet of apes.
At loss that living human kind never know how to create living human kind into mankid without our creator in planet of apes.
At loss someone out there been watching too many porno movies took for granted that sex is the creation of living human kind into mankind in planet of apes.
At loss living human kind can only reproduce living human kind in planet of apes.
At loss on why porno movies became the best seller than our creator universal gifts of life in planet of apes.
Racism exist in people of all age groups. It is a fact of life.
In my experience, a lot more of the older generation are openly racist and encourage that type of behaviour, while the teenagers (such as myself) are on a whole less racist, although there are still those there.
Something I noticed is that in teenagers especially, those from the 'lower class' tend to have more racists in than the those from the 'middle class' and 'upper class', while in older adults you'll find a lot of racists in any class. I am generalising though and that doesn't mean that all from any class are racist. My own theory is that it's just because in general amount of money earned equates to intelligence quite often. Example being that someone who isn't intelligent may only work moving boxes, while someone who's highly intelligent and would think things through may work as a managing director.
Well, that is just always going to happen between anyone that is different. I always try to be open-minded and I truly feel that I am not racist. Sometimes it's a little hard to do that when you here ';Ridin''; booming over and over again from the budget dorms across the street though...
Racism has roots in a group of people changing words of God and call themselves the elected people. It's as devilish as it sounds and must be rooted out.
I deplore racism in anybody.
If you are doing coursework, I am not going to answer your question for you, but here are some things you might think about:-
1. How far is racism caused by economic inequality? Lack of career opportunities, and fair means for their distribution, may be a recipe for racism.
2. What are the social reasons for racism? In particular, does racism among teenagers relate to the needs of young people to find a social identity? This need for belonging may be satisfied by joining gangs which define their purpose by antagonism to other groups defined by race? Are there better ways for teenagers to participate in society?
3. Has evolution given people needs to identify with a genetic group? If so, does human nature conflict with morality in relation to race? Can education overcome any such conflict?
4. How does racism (bad) differ from commitment to ones to family, nation and, come to that, sports team (not so bad)?
5. What is race? It tends to be identified with skin colour, but if you think in terms of genetic variation (e,g. DNA analysis), very little of the differences between people reate to skin colour. And try this thought experiment. Travel in your mind through Europe to Turkey. Then go on in your mind through Iraq and Iran to Pakistan, or through Syria and Egypt to Africa. Is there any clear point at which people change skin colour (No!)? (I have numbered my questions as I think of them, but of course you need to start any essay by defining your terms - in this case ';race';)
6. How does racial tolerance relate to religious and politcal tolerance?
There are some questions, but for coursework you need to relate answers to them to facts. If you are going to give a good answer it is also a good idea to relate what you think about such matters to things in your personal experience.
Incidentally, education should be about seeing both sides of an argument, but in the case of racism I doubt whether you would be wise to hand in coursework arguing that racism is a good thing. Toleration stops when it comes to tolerating the intolerant. You need to think out why.
Todays teens are supposed to be an enlightened generation, far from it,no matter how hard politicians try it is not possible to make people like each other.
They were taught to be racist. Tolerance needs to be taught beginning at an early age. We don't have to like those who are different, but we do have to tolerate them. Otherwise, those who are intolerant are only making themsleves miserable.
racism tastes liek butter pecan ice cream
It seems rife on these pages.
Amazing considering that most of them haven't got a clue about the real world and haven't got the experience to make an educated statement about the subject.
Blame the parents.....blame the music they listen to, it has an incredible influence. Blame the government too for the unfairness of our society, illegals and asylum seekers and the other foreign spongers in our country appear to get preferential treatment, cheap labour etc.... it builds resentment....which probably started with the parents comments they heard when they were small. Too many people harp on about skin colour it's not thing to do with that....it's money based.
Children learn these behaviors from their parents and authority figures in their lives. When they see it's ok, accepted and encouraged, racist attitudes will flourish among impressionable minds. To me this is an especially rabid form of child abuse.
Children and teenagers only learn these racist remarks from others, parents, family etc.I think they have a right to say some things like asking questions about multi-cultural races. But the racist thing is too sensitive nowadays and small children can get into trouble for saying innocent things like ';that dolly is black';

Do teenagers think about death and the choices that they make could kill or hurt them or others?
Gosh, I don't think most teenagers think about immortality like more mature and older people do....they think they will live forever and do not have anything in the well-of-experience to draw from. Their conclusions are typically from point a to point z with not much in between. Someone else mentioned the teens on Answers...I have to agree and point out all the dozens of questions from sexually active teens that ask 'do you think I could be pregnant';?
The rate at which teenage girls in the United States are having babies has risen for a second year in a row, government statistics show, putting one of the nation's most successful social and public health campaigns in jeopardy.
Teen Drivers: Fact Sheet
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for U.S. teens, accounting for more than one in three deaths in this age group.1 In 2005, twelve teens ages 16 to 19 died every day from motor vehicle injuries.Do teenagers think about death and the choices that they make could kill or hurt them or others?
Yes they do. Just read the questions on this website and you will see that this is a common problem. The teen years are the hardest of all to deal with, and other teens can often be cruel. I suspect that hormones play a big part of this. Most outgrow this, but some don't and need professional help.Do teenagers think about death and the choices that they make could kill or hurt them or others?
Yes they do, they believe that there are other people who need them but at the same time they don't see a way out of their sadness. They feel that no matter what they do they will always feel that way. If you have a friend that is thinking about suicide you need to get them to talk to a psychologist and help them see that there are options.
I am a teenager and I would have to say yes, I think about death...but I also get depressed sometimes so that could be why. When you are taking drugs or alcohol and stuff then yeah you do think what if i die but mostly you just blot that out because you just wanna have FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Teenager's brains are immature. Their brains are literally not done growing or developing yet when they're in their teen years, which often is the reason for ';in the moment'; thinking that teens frequently exhibit.
Probably. The extent to which they think about these things varies from person to person.

What are some things we can do on the way home from Orlando to Houston with 4 teenagers other than the beach?
We will be spending time at the beach, but would like some other ideas...maybe around Pensacola, Mobile, Gulf Shores or Biloxi. What are some things we can do on the way home from Orlando to Houston with 4 teenagers other than the beach?
Well, this is closer to Orlando than you want but just north of Orlando is Ocala, FL. Just east of Ocala, in the Ocala National Forest, along State Highway 40, is Juniper Springs. It is a beautiful clear spring with great swimming, hiking and canoeing. Most tourists never visit the natural springs in Florida and that is a shame because they are fun and one of Florida's best kept secrets. You can stay in Silver Springs and spend a day at Juniper Springs. Then you may even want to spend a day at the Silver Springs attraction. You will see the real natural Florida. Check them out online and see if they interest you. There is even a water park at Silver Springs. What are some things we can do on the way home from Orlando to Houston with 4 teenagers other than the beach?
Near Pensacola is a canoe service called Adventures Unlimited. Give them a call and ask some questions. You might like the answers.lips

Do you think teenagers should be able to vote?
I've met some highly intelligent teenagers and believe they are very socially conscious. I think the voting age should be lowered to age 16. What do you think, and why?Do you think teenagers should be able to vote?
No we already have too many people voting for the best looking people!Do you think teenagers should be able to vote?
I THINK YOU SHOULD BE ON PROZAC.....OUT OF 100 16 YEARS OLDS MAYBE 2 WOULD HAVE A WORKING BRAIN.
For the most part.... no... Just look at this forum...
No voting should be restricted to citizens that own property and can read and write and are not on welfare or other gov't assistance. otherwise the voters could vote to increase their own gov't benefits.
most teenagers are not there yet mentally apt.
No the voting age shouldn't be changed. I admit there are a few 16 year old teens that are very smart. However, on the average some of them can't be trusted to chew bubble gum and walk at the same time. So they shouldn't be allowed to vote until they are legally responsible for them selves.
I don't think it would be as big of a deal as the government would make it out to be.....teenagers are and will be just as lazy as adults when it comes to voting....if you lowered the age, that would just be a larger amount of people to ingore their right to vote......and a few would vote.....so I don't think it would be a bad idea
I also don't think it will ever happen
I honestly can see both view points in that. But it it comes down to the major thing of mentallity. Ok rember when you were 16 all you probaly cared about was getting a car and know how to drive it with your friends and how popular you are. I think if you allowed 16 yr old to vote you would get into a big problem because then you would see polticians taking and getting more younger cultural icons involed to persuade the vote of the teenagers. Because look in schools today for class presidents and student council it a popularity contest and that what i think that it would become. It would nothing on the issues that we need to look when we elect officals
I honestly don't think they should. I've heard some of these youngsters on here saying how they hate Bush, one was only 13 which tells me that no one is telling them that they have to realize they may not like every President that gets in in their life time and that they will get thru it and move on until the next one. Some of these kids were actually stressed out when Bush was re elected telling me they aren't mature enough to handle the disappointments. Most of these kids I'm sure were picking up on their parents reactions. Like my 15 yr old grandson was a Democrat but when he found out his mother was Republican he no longer hated Bush and became Republican. And why would you want to expose them to all this dirty champaining, they need to learn the right way!
No way. A few of them are intelligent %26amp; socially aware, but none of them have the experience needed to make long-term choices that effect all of us. Personally I though it should have never been lowered from 21 to 18.
I disagree. While there are many intelligent teenagers, most are only concerned with their immediate environment and not the larger scale of things. If someone is not allowed to legally drive, have sex, or consume alcohol until they're over 18, they shouldn't be allowed to vote either.
Yes.Yes.
they should..considering i am one!

lol
but yea...they should...it would be awesome
cuz everyone knows teenagers know whats best
=P
lol
no, remember that's the age they got behind the driving wheel, where would they take us then
I personally think that the voting age should be the same as the drinking age (same goes for the military age). This is because The 16-year-olds you are talking about are very few and far between. Teenagers are not mentally or emotionally mature yet. There are some 16-year-old girls who have not started their periods yet? Do you want pubescent teens making decisions for you???
Absolutely NOT! I do agree that many 16 year olds are very intelligent and also have a good social conscience. But most don't. I was politically involved from the time I was 14. But I was in a small minority in my peer group. There are many adults who probably shouldn't be allowed to vote or do much else for that matter but we can't discriminate because of stupidity.
While I do not believe that ';most'; teenagers have the mental knowledge of politics and such, I do not believe there should ever be a restriction on voting regardless of age.
no, while some are mature enough to decide an informed, intelligent vote, more are not---would be worse than what we have as adults...
I hear you. My friends and I are so politically conscious. We're always debating things like social reform, health care, and illegal immigration. We don't talk about the latest teen hearthrob, the Teen Vogue fashion, or the latest episode of Laguna Beach. No, instead, we're debating political issue at our lunch table, taking sides, arguing our cases.
I would've loved to vote last week. But instead, I was explaining all the propositions to my mother so that she could.
Most people hate voting. But I'm just counting the days until my 18 birthday. I'll finally be able to in the next Presidential election.
Yeah that's a good idea. Around that age kids seem to be more into politics too. And forming their own opinions about it. I was more into politics when I was 16 than I am now actually.
That's a terrific question!
There are some teenagers who are more than mature and involved enough ... and there are some who are not.
... But then again, the same could be said of all voters, regardless of age.
But here's the thing ... there are a lot of things happening today that will affect them 10, 15, 20 years from now.
My favorite example is the deficit. When our current government runs up a deficit, this means that we are borrowing money and going into debt to pay for current expenses (like the war in Iraq). When there is a ';tax cut'; during a deficit, we are borrowing money to pay for it. Who deals with the debt from this generation? The *next* generation ... with their taxes.
In other words, a ';tax cut'; today is a ';tax increase'; passed on to the next generation.
16-year-olds should have some say in that.
.
No. 18 is just fine. Although I think it would really make no difference as the 18-25 age group is the least likely to vote.

What's a good idea for a script about teenagers?
I have to write a script for a class about 3 teenagers, 2 are siblings. I can't think of a good conflict to have between themWhat's a good idea for a script about teenagers?
this may sound dumb, but at this time , look for answers in orphan homes, under age foster homes, jails, family history, self, experience. it could be right in your own mind, what about friends, have they experienced bad life's, rough life's? talk to a lot of kids or teenagers, and listen, they talk a lot in halls, and home rooms, bathrooms, take notes, ask questions, be a friend and listen, then see what you come up with. ask your father or mother, do they have any stories, about their friends, or themselves. mainly listen!!!!!!!What's a good idea for a script about teenagers?
you are going to be fine, have faith.
Teenagers face so many obstacles while growing up its a wonder some of us survived.
Sex vs. abstinence
Drugs vs. Studies
or
Child abuse, homelessness, Gangs and violence... your possibilities are endless.
Now, when you start, first ask yourself, ';what if....';
The siblings are female twins. The 3rd teenager is a studly male. Since young studly men are solely interested in looks, neither one of the twins has an advantage (they look exactly the same!)
So they attempt to do whatever it takes to win over the male for their self. Competition ignites. Will one of the twins win over the studly boy or will both lose? Who knows.
Good luck

Beans on Toast with cheese
I have a 10 year old that can cook this ';Impossible Pie'; It is like a crust less quiche. All the ingredients are mixed together in a bowl, poured into a baking dish and baked. It can be served with vegies or chips and salad. It can even be eaten cold.
Recipe is as follows:
INGREDIENTS:
4 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1 cup bacon pieces, 1/2 cup grated tasty cheese, 1 medium onion, diced, 1 cup pastry mix, salt %26amp; pepper.
METHOD:
Beat the eggs and milk together then add the bacon, cheese, onion, salt and pepper. Stir in the pastry mix with a fork making sure there are no lumps. Pour into a lightly greased quiche or pie dish. Bake in a pre-heated, 180oC, oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden.
(Try adding diced tomato or parsley for added flavour.)
ENJOY!!!!!!!
Steak Sandwich
1 large strip, round, or shell sirloin steak, weighing between 12 ounces and 1 pound
1/2 t. coarsely ground black pepper
Salt to taste
2-3 T. oil
2 T. chopped onion
4 oz. crimini mushrooms, cleaned and chopped
1/2 t. thyme
1 loaf French or Italian bread, or 1 Vienna loaf
3-4 T. prepared mustard
Trim any excess fat from the steak. Sprinkle both sides with pepper and salt, then brush with a tablespoon of the oil. Heat a cast-iron or nonstick pan and sear the steak about 2 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan. Cook the onion for 2 minutes in the remaining oil, then add the chopped mushrooms, sprinkling them with the thyme and a little salt. Cook, stirring, until they have softened. If the mixture dries out, add a tablespoon or so of water.
Cut a large piece of bread about 1 inch longer than the steak. (If you're using a Vienna loaf, you may not need to cut it at all.) Slice it lengthwise through the middle, leaving an uncut edge as a hinge. Spread both cut sides of the bread liberally with mustard. Now place the steak on the bottom half and scatter the mushroom mixture on top. Fold the top half of the bread down. Wrap the sandwich in two layers of plastic wrap. Take a long piece of string and tie the sandwich up tightly as if it were a parcel, knotting the string in several places. Put the sandwich on a plate and place another plate on top of it. Now weight it down with either cans of food or a bowl filled with water. Leave it for 8 hours or overnight in the refrigerator or other cold place. When you rescue it from the weights, it will be firm and flat. For serving, unwrap it and slice it on the diagonal so you have several strips, each about 3/4 to 1 inch wide. Arrange these on a platter with a bowl of relish or chutney to accompany them

Spaghetti Carbonara theres a good recipe on bbc.co.uk/food who can resist bacon cheese and cream and it only takes 20 mins.

2 medium onions
2 Cloves garlic - peeled and crushed
400g tinned chopped tomatoes
400g tinned kidney beans in chilli sauce
Dollop of ketchup
Chillis (optional)
Chilli powder (optional - depends how much spice you like)
Using a big saucepan
Brown the mince, draining any extra fat
Add onions and garlic - fry till lightly golden
Add kidney beans
Add tinned tomatoes
Add ketchup
Add chillis and powder if you wish.
Simmer on a low heat for about 30mins.
However, the slower and longer you cook it the better it tastes.
Serve with bolied rice or chips or pitta bread - anything you want
PS. A spoonful of soured cream tastes amazing with chilli.
Good luck and enjoy. x

A Spanish omelete. Colourfull, tasty and very easy to do. They can also chose their own crazy ingredients. I think it's a cheap dish where they can use their imagination. Go for the egg...
If you think is a bit to easy go for a nice curry. They will need practice for later when they reach our age don't you think???
Spaghetti Carbonara theres a good recipe on bbc.co.uk/food who can resist bacon cheese and cream and it only takes 20 mins.
It has to be Chilli con carne.
It was the first dish I learned to cook, I still make it and EVERYONE enjoys it.
500g lean beef mince
2 medium onions
2 Cloves garlic - peeled and crushed
400g tinned chopped tomatoes
400g tinned kidney beans in chilli sauce
Dollop of ketchup
Chillis (optional)
Chilli powder (optional - depends how much spice you like)
Using a big saucepan
Brown the mince, draining any extra fat
Add onions and garlic - fry till lightly golden
Add kidney beans
Add tinned tomatoes
Add ketchup
Add chillis and powder if you wish.
Simmer on a low heat for about 30mins.
However, the slower and longer you cook it the better it tastes.
Serve with bolied rice or chips or pitta bread - anything you want
PS. A spoonful of soured cream tastes amazing with chilli.
Good luck and enjoy. x
Omelette's they are easy cheap and you can add whatever you want to change the taste, ideal for a novice cook.
ONE PAN COOKING,they never wash up, a basic beef stew with dumpling is very easy, you can miss out the potatos and use a packet mash or teach them how to peel a potato and mash them with butter and spring onion, stack the mash ,ladle the stew around, tasty and impressive, if you dont like potato, substitute with rice or pasta. LF
spag bol pritty cheap to make (if you know where to go) (try markets) and its very easy i cant cook at all but i live off the stuff
bit of a tip if you fry some bacon in the pan before starting making it it taste about 10 times better
Lasagna is good! Another good thing is chicken soup!
spag bol , shepards pie, chicken casserole , roast lunch
How to get teenagers intrested in charties?
How to get teenagers intrested in charties and involved?? ANy ideas on how to do this?? Wha kind of reasources could be made to help??How to get teenagers intrested in charties?
I found that dragging my kids to the charities I was involved in, (Making wooden toys for the poor or stocking at the local food bank) made them really understand how fun it could be.
After the first day, they really enjoyed interacting with other volunteers. They were happy to go and it actually made them see how well they were living compared to others, and they were thankful for all that they DID have instead of focusing on what material things that they DIDN'T have. How to get teenagers intrested in charties?
The best way to get teenagers involved would be to explain to them how much helping charities can help them. Explain how good it will look on their Cv if they volunteer at a charity shop.
Once you have got them working at the shops or donating things you can then explain the real reason for why they should be helping - which of course is to help people or whatever the charity aims to help. Hopefully they will learn to understand how good it is to help and so will help more in charity events.
Take the teenagers to NGOs working for poor, downtrodden, neglected masses and show them how the sisters are trying to make them happy. Let them work with those for a weekend. Repeat the action. Slowly they will love to help others.
A lot of good answers have been given here. One website that may give you some ideas ==

What are some good books for teenagers?
Hi! I am going to library tomorrow, so I am trying to find some good books to borrow. Some genres I enjoy are drama, romance and mystery. Can anyone suggest any books or authors that I should try?
If it helps, I am 13 going on 14. What are some good books for teenagers?
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
anything by Mary Higgins ClarkWhat are some good books for teenagers?
For a young adult/teen Meg Cabot's young adult books. She is the best author. Also best selling. She wrote tons of books including the Princess Diaries (Movies based on her books), Mediator (upcoming movie), 1-800-Missing (TV show based on her books), Jinx, Airhead and more. She has adult books too, so you can grow with her.
If you want more info or any of the authors website's email me.
Well, I definitely recommend Eragon and the entire series that follows it (called the Inheritence Series). They are by Christopher Paoloni.
I also definitely give the Twilight books two thumbs up. They aer by Stephenie Meyer. So far, there are 4 books out in the series.
I loved all the books by Sarah Dessen. A few of her best would be That Summer, Just Listen, and This Lullaby.
Sarah Mlyowski wrote the Magic in Manhattan series. There are three books out now. It's about a girl who discovers her whole family is a witch, but the magical gene skipped over her. She uses her little's sister to make a love spell on the guy she likes at school.
The Pretty Little Liars series is very good too, Kind of scary, but definitely good. There are four books out, and they are by Sarah Shepherd.
Just Ella (sorry can't remember the authors name) it's a story about Cinderella.
Beauty ~Robin McKinley (about the beauty and the beast)
Twilight ~Stephanie Meyer
Inkheart ~Cornelia Funke (hope i spelt it right!)
Anything written by Mary Higgins Clark or Meg Cabot
Hope i helpped
Ok I'm 14 and here's what I like... Harry Potter By: J.K. Rowling
Left Behind By: Tim LaHaye Twilight By: Stephanie Meyer. Hope I helped!

I want to write fiction for teenagers. What do you want to read about?
I am a published writer and want to write for teenagers. I don't want to copy Twilight or Gossip Girls. What subjects or kinds of characters involving teenagers would you like to see dealt with in a novel? Did you like Jodi Picoult's books or The Lovely Bones type of book?I want to write fiction for teenagers. What do you want to read about?
Jodi Piccoult's books are great, Lovely Bones not so much. I'm into Sci-fi but less hard core Science fiction. More... girly? I geuss, not exactly though, kind of like the Uglies series by Scott Westerfield or The Host by Stephenie Meyer.
also, are you writing for girls or guys? because that changes everything, guys, as another answerer demonstrated, would be far more interested in reading a graphic discription of someone losing a finger. While girls... not so much.I want to write fiction for teenagers. What do you want to read about?
I like a lot of mystery and some horror books.
Right now I'm reading the Clique series and the Pretty Little Liars series. I've read Twilight, Harry Potter, and the Uglies series.
I like vampires, but that has been done a lot. I also like stories that teenagers can relate to. Like, and this is a bit of a stretch, A Child Called It. I'm not abused nor have I been, but I can sympathize with Dave.
Maybe you could write a good romance novel or one that makes you cry. Or even one that makes you laugh. I like to laugh. Or even a really good murder mystery with lots of plot twists that keeps me on the edge of my seat.
I personally like stuff that can't happen but around the present and injuries and death make it seem like it's more suspenseful because the reader will know that you are willing to kill a character. And add a lot of detail make the main character lose a finger or something that will really get the readers attention.
you should read lois lowry like the giver and gathering blue and then use those ideas to write your own book.
theyre great books with out-of-sight topics, and just because you use someone else's idea it doesnt mean it won't be original.
dragons are all right too. :) eragon was good!
umm, nobody reads gossip girl, at least that i know of
i liked jodi picoult's books a lot
science fiction/fantasy is popular but not the alien type
futuristic stories are cool
and don't forget to include some romance!!
Do something about there is 3 friends. 1 of them has to move and then all this bad stuff happens to them, and then the 1 who moved gets sick of it and runs away and goes back and stays with her friends.
I feel sorry for daizyh. Every editor I know says they are sick of dragons and throw all dragon manuscripts in the rubbish. Sorry!
I like supernatural-everyday fiction, like Meg Cabot's the Mediator series. Along those lines of her writing, like 'Jinx' or '1-800-WHERE-R-U' Happy writings.
hmm..
i like books about psychological issues.
maybe write a book about a psychopath or a teenager suffering from bipolar disorder?
Dragons! Write one about dragons.
something psychological but with some sort twist (like psycho telepaths)

Do at one point in time teenagers end up hating their parents?
I dislike them to a point of I'm ready to move out, but I was just wondering if I'm not the only one.Do at one point in time teenagers end up hating their parents?
Ya because you are growing up. You are starting to have your own views of life now.. You are wanting to get out and take control of your life.. Its a good thing in a way. Just dont let the feeling become negative and ruin your relationship.. Just move out or tell them you need some space..Do at one point in time teenagers end up hating their parents?
Teenagers are always like that. That is is caused by the transition period between kids and adults. Sometimes teenagers wants to be treated like an adult but there are also times when they want to be treated like kids. Parents sometimes need to be patient to this swing of moods. You need to understand your parents too. The best for you to do is explain what you want and understand why you cannot get what you want. Running away from home is not the solution.
if i could i would im pretty sure everyone would
but you have to think about it practaclly, food, rent, where would you live, where would you go?
think about it in a few years youll be off in collage and then you never ever have to talk to them ever again
well maybe you just need a break from them. You could go somewhere to cool down if you argue or just want to be alone. Remember they are you parents so I suppose just grin and bear it...? I get mad at mine but I don't hate them.
All kids hate their parents at one point in time. Your parents only want whats good for you and you want to do things that they feel aren't good for you. If your parents didn't care, then you would only hate them later :)
Its normal to hate ones parents. You are growing up and pulling away from them. If your lucky they understand and don't hate your guts also.
You are not alone. Every teenager hates their parents at some point.
your not the only one;;
i cant wait to move out, lips

What do you think of girls (teenagers and college students) who curse/cuss?
Any guys who date girls with a potty mouth or girls who are friends with then? My friend grew up in a home where everyone cursed constantly so she is an a major habit of cussing regularly. What do you think of girls (teenagers and college students) who curse/cuss?
Don't really mind it as long as they are not using that language in a public space around small children! What do you think of girls (teenagers and college students) who curse/cuss?
I like a girl who cusses on OCCASION, like when she is really mad, or if she wants to say ';f*ck me'; during sex, or if shes talking dirty, or if she has a reason to say the word, or something like that.
For example, a girl who says ';yeah my friend took a mad sh*t and we were all laughing'; i am OK with- the word ';sh*t'; is used as a noun, and therefore it has meaning, and wasnt pointless to say. But if she just yells out ';sh*t!'; all the time, all belligerent-like, it will really annoy the sh*t out of me. no lie
I hate girls who cuss all the time, and I sort of dislike girls who never cuss (although girls who never cuss are still better to me than girls who cuss ALL the time). and like i said before- it also depends on HOW she cussed! If the cussword had meaning, its not so bad! If the cussword was just out of the blue, its way more annoying. (Example: ';she got f*cked by this guy and now shes pregnant'; is alot better than ';ow f*ck i hurt my toe!';. get it?)
It may offend you, or your friend, but to me it just makes a girl sound trashy and dirty when she cusses all the time. I dont wanna sound old fashioned, but I like girls the most when they have the appearance of having morals, standards, and cleanliness... for obvious reasons. It makes me feel more accomplished for dating them! Who wants to date somebody who has low morals and who cusses all the time?
That's just my opinion though... but on the other hand, I bet most guys think like I do. I know my friends do. And I'm a manwh*re to boot, so If I THINK LIKE THAT, and im this obsessed with getting girls and do all the time... id hate to see what more morally based men think of them. just a thought
I am reminded of a saying that has been passed down from my grandfather, to father, to me, to my son:
';Swearing is the crutch for the crippled intellectual.';
It doesn't bother me at all. They're just words. My wife and I cuss up a storm. Those who don't like it can step the phukk off, lol.
I don't think it is right to be cussing a lot. It just means u can not think of anything intelligent to say so u just express it by cussing.
cursing is an ignorant persons way of expressing themselfs.. but sometimes you cant help it d** it!.
i like it if its in a calm manner but if they r cursing with a screaming voice its annoying
I curse all the time.
It helps lower my blood pressure.
its her life, stop interfering. if you dont like it then lose her as a friend.

What kind of questions should I include in a survey about stress for teenagers?
I need to make up a survey of a few questions, (5 or 6) and I am a bit stuck.
I have already got, 'Have you recently been getting much homework to complete?' and 'Have you been having more arguments with family or friends?'
any ideas?

There are plenty of things for you guys to do. A trip to Fanuel Hall Market is always a good place to start. It's located in the north end where you'll find great shopping and great food. You could make your way to the Boston Common park where there's always things to do such as the Swan Boats. If shopping is your thing you could try Newbury Street as well as Copley Square. You can try making a reservation on the Boston Duck Tours. They give you a great tour of different tourist spots in the city and tickets aren't that expensive either. What is really fun for three teenagers to do in boston?
Try to catch a show by The Blue Men Group. They are always playing out there.
A Sox game at Fenway is definately the way to go. Awesome atmosphere. Don't be afraid to get bleacher seats if you can.
Good luck getting tix.
Depending on the ages and interests of the teens, I would recommend a Boston Red Sox game, the Freedom Trail, a Duck-Boat tour, whale watching, the Aquarium or the Science Museum. There are some great malls and you might still be able to go to the top of the John Hancock building for the view.

What are some good books for teenagers?
I like books like Twilight, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Power of five if that helps. What are some good books for teenagers?
Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld
This is an extremely good book. It's hard to explain but it's about the future, after mankind basically destroyed the earth (global warming, destroying forests, polluting the ocean, etc) survivors made a new society where there's no argueing, war, etc. Everyone is considered ';ugly'; until they turn 16 and have this sugery that makes them ';pretty'; and they move to this part of town where all they do is have fun and party all day and night. Tally, the main character cant wait to turn pretty. She meets Shay who's a rebal and convinces Tally to leave the city for a night to see what's out in the wilderness. Tally learns all kinds of things about being pretty and the truth is.. it's not really pretty. EXTREMELY good, and the sequals (Pretties, Specials) are even better. It's full of adventures, cool technologies, romance, etc. There's also a fourth book from another perspective and it's set in Japan called Extras.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
This book is also set in the future and is extremely intense like you're actually in the book. It's setting is in Panem, a city that's now in what's left of North America (which has become smaller after global warming and melting of the ice caps). Surrounding Panem are 12 districts where each year, one boy and girl between the ages of 12 and 18 are chosen to be in the Hunger Games where they are put into an arena and battle each other and try to survive until there's only one left and is the winner. There's also romance in it and gets kind of sad. I cried at one point. haha but it's really good. Stephanie Meyers, author of Twilight, even recommended it.
Deadly Little Secrets by Laurie Stolarz
It's the first of it's series and is also really good. It's about a girl named Camelia who lives a normal life - dating, has friends, decent grades. But, one day when she was picking an earing that she dropped crossing the street, a car was coming towards her and it wasn't stopping. Suddenly, a hot guy shoves her out of the way, saving her life. He left without her saying thank you or asking what his name was. Three months later, she's starting her junior year in high school and there's this rumor about a new guy named Ben who supposedly killed his girlfriend. Camelia doesn't believe in rumors and when she sees Ben, it's the guy who saved her life. She tries to talk to him but he ignores her at first, but later Ben begins touching her weirdly but Camilia only gets more drawn to him. She later finds out he's not ordinary. He can know the future or past of a person by touching a person and he senses that Camelia's in great danger. Really intense but good with a twisted love triangle.
I've read twilight and loved it but i thought these books were almost as good or even better.
