Do teenagers have a better chance of getting H1N1 than anybody else?

my daughter is scared to death of getting swine flu. and shes really scared of dying. she wants to know if teenagers have a better chance of getting it than anyone else. shes never gotten a flu shot and shes never had the flu.Do teenagers have a better chance of getting H1N1 than anybody else?
ive heard that little babies like infants are more likely to get it.

but so are pregnant women.

she shouldnt be afraid of dying because the regular flu is worse than swine flu (so i have heard from my father who is a doctor)Do teenagers have a better chance of getting H1N1 than anybody else?
If your teenaged daughter is in public school, she is indeed more likely to catch the swine flu, because of increased exposure and the fact that this H1N1 seems to infect more children and youth and young adults than other types. However, there is no reason to believe even if she did have the flu that she would be likely to die from it. Most of the deaths from swine flu have been from complications from other existing diseases or the chance of pneumonia, and from waiting too long to get medical attention. If indeed she's never had any flu, perhaps that means she has a strong immune system and is less likely than others to get it. She should go to the CDC (Center for Disease Control) website and I'm sure she'll find a lot of information to make her feel less afraid. For instance, treatment consists of the same things you would do for regular flu, bed rest, fluids, analgesics for pain, etc., and the only difference is if you start getting better but have suddenly worse respiratory symptoms, then you need attention.
no pregnant weman and the elderly are the most common to get it then babies would be next but make sure she washes her hands and stays away from people who are sick (if you get sick now it is probably swine flu) that probably didnt help but it is all i know.

Hope she dosent get sick
yes, crowding kids together in schools is a perfect recipe for an epidemic.
