Do you think we're quite a pretentious generation or were teenagers always like this?

You get so many douchebags who will try to make out they know loads about music and you know nothing etc, or that the way they are dressed is really different when in fact they're dressed exactly the same as everyone else. Is it just our generation that act like this or has it always been this way?Do you think we're quite a pretentious generation or were teenagers always like this?
It has always been that way.





Funny thing is (and I say this because I was a teen in the 70's) in just a few short years people will look at their old photographs and laugh at their goofy haircut or the style of their clothes....It always changes.Do you think we're quite a pretentious generation or were teenagers always like this?

That's a really good question though, think it's one older people can answer. I'd like to know for sure. This generation is a fluke.
no. its a phase almost everyone goes through at some stage. it stops when u mature. my dad always tells me off, but my mum constantly reminds him that he did exactly the same at my age...you need to do it in order to learn from it.
i think that teenagers have always acted like that. even back in 1600s i bet teenagers were pretentious and obnoxious. its like our thing :) i'm sure most of us will grow up alright.
